Our verdict
Most men do not need a multivitamin, and the best evidence says it will not prevent heart disease or cancer. The US Preventive Services Task Force (2022) found the evidence on multivitamins “insufficient”. If you want one anyway, the main job is to pick an FDA-registered product and avoid stacking doses.
Our top two are close. Rogin-E (69/100) is the best label: it lists every ingredient with its amount, and it is made for men. Centrum Advance (68/100) is the best value at about ₱13 a day, and it prints the safety warnings. Neither is a treatment for stamina, low energy or sexual problems.
Tired all the time, or low on energy? That is a reason to see a doctor, not to buy a stronger vitamin. Tell your doctor which supplements you take.
Multivitamins for men are some of the most sold supplements in the Philippines, and several brands sell “stamina” and “energy” promises. In this country, most are registered as drugs, not food supplements. This guide checks the best-sellers against FDA records and compares what their listings say.
84 studies
with 739,803 people were reviewed for the US Preventive Services Task Force in 2022. It found the evidence on multivitamins for preventing heart disease or cancer “insufficient”, and recommended against beta-carotene and vitamin E for that purpose.

What the research actually shows
The US Preventive Services Task Force reviewed 84 studies with 739,803 participants for its June 2022 statement. We read the summary of its findings, not the full report.
- Multivitamins: the evidence is insufficient to say whether they prevent cardiovascular disease or cancer. That is “insufficient”, not “proven not to work”.
- Beta-carotene and vitamin E: the Task Force recommends against them for these goals (Grade D). With moderate certainty, it found harms of beta-carotene outweighed benefits, and no net benefit from vitamin E.
- Who it covers: adults who are not pregnant and have no known deficiency. People with deficiencies or medical conditions can need supplements, which is for a doctor to decide.
The National Institutes of Health puts the recommended iron intake for adult men at 8 mg a day. Men rarely need extra iron, so check whether your multivitamin has iron, and ask a doctor about iron if you feel tired. We did not retrieve the upper limits for other nutrients, so do not assume that more of a vitamin is safer.
What the claims on these listings actually mean
| Claim | What it covers | Key exclusion |
|---|---|---|
| DR- or DRP- registration, verified for this exact product | The FDA registered it as a drug and records the maker | Not a test of what is inside, and no proof it helps |
| “For men” or “for the Filipino man” | A target market | The vitamins and minerals are the same kind as in unisex products |
| “Boosts stamina”, “energy”, “focus” | Marketing words | No listing shows a trial of the formula |
| “Sexual stamina” | A sexual-health promise | Multivitamins are not shown to improve sexual function. See our men’s libido guide |
| “Protects your heart, eyes and immune system” | Marketing summary of nutrient roles | Trials do not show multivitamins prevent heart disease or cancer |
| Ginseng and royal jelly “for vitality” | Named extras | Amounts are small: 20 mg and 5 mg per Rogin-E capsule |
| “100% authentic” or “Mall” | The platform’s statement | Check the seller and the pack size yourself |
Multivitamins we would not buy
These were for sale on Shopee when we checked, or are named in FDA advisories.
| Product | What we found | Our check |
|---|---|---|
| Nature Made products from resellers | Four FDA advisories in 2025 and 2026 name Nature Made products as unregistered: Super B-Complex with C (2026-1296) and D3 1000 IU (2026-1295), both 6 October 2026, and Magnesium Citrate and Triple Omega (2025-1617 and 2025-1616). We found no registration for the “Nature Made Multivitamin & Minerals” sold by a small Pasay shop at ₱292. | Brand named in advisories; no registration found |
| Swisse Men’s Multivitamin and Potency+ (Charisma Duo Pack) | The listing was ₱1,680 from a regular seller. We found no FDA record under the Swisse name for these products (only Swisse milk drinks). | No registration found |
| NOW Foods ADAM Superior Men’s Multi (₱2,674) and Kirkland Signature Daily Multi (500 tablets) | Imports from regular sellers. We found no FDA record for NOW Foods or Kirkland multivitamins. | No registration found |
| Unbranded “multivitamin and minerals” capsules at about ₱200 to ₱300 | Several shops, no brand or maker, and no registration number to match. | No maker to check |
| Listings that say “FDA approved” for a multivitamin | The FDA registers products, it does not approve them. Match the exact product name on the FDA portal. | Claim cannot be verified |
Our picks
Best label
1. Rogin-E Multivitamins Soft Gel (36 capsules)
69/100
FDA drug registered
Full amounts listed
Official store
₱28 per capsule
| FDA status | Registered drug (multivitamin): “Rogin-E”, DR-XY47554 and DR-XY47553 (Catalent Germany Eberbach GmbH, valid to 19 November 2031), and DR-X4038 (valid to 26 June 2028) |
| FDA number in listing? | No. We found it on the FDA portal |
| Ingredients | All 19 listed with amounts, including vitamin A 5,000 IU, vitamin D2 400 IU, vitamin C 60 mg, deanol 30 mg, Korean panax ginseng 20 mg, royal jelly 5 mg and zinc 1 mg. No iron is listed |
| Advisory found | None for the Rogin-E brand |
| Seller | Bayer Consumer Health (7.9K ratings on this listing, 149.7K on the shop) |
| Price | ₱1,015 for 36 capsules (list ₱1,068) |
The listing prints the amount of every ingredient, which most multivitamin listings do not, and it comes from the maker’s own store. The product is registered as a drug, the stricter FDA category, in three registrations, and the listing uses modest wording: ginseng “for stamina”, royal jelly “for vitality”, deanol “for focus”, and “with proper diet and exercise”.
It is made for men and priced for it. Each capsule costs about ₱28, twice Centrum. The ginseng (20 mg) and royal jelly (5 mg) are small amounts, and we found no trial of these amounts. It calls itself “the #1 premium male multivitamin supplement in the Philippines”, which we cannot verify. Vitamin A is 5,000 IU of retinyl palmitate (about 1,500 mcg), so do not stack it with other supplements that also contain vitamin A.
Why it scored well
- Every ingredient listed with its amount
- Registered with the FDA as a drug, from the maker’s own store
- Restrained claims; no iron
Watch-outs
- About ₱28 a capsule, the highest of the four
- Ginseng and royal jelly are small amounts, with no trial of them
- “#1 premium male multivitamin” cannot be verified
Best value
2. Centrum Advance Multivitamins and Minerals (30 tablets)
68/100
FDA drug registered
Official store
Safety warnings printed
₱13 per tablet
| FDA status | Registered drug (multivitamins + minerals): “Centrum Advance”, DR-XY44588 (valid to 15 March 2031) and DR-XY43613 (valid to 8 August 2029); Haleon / Wyeth manufacturers |
| FDA number in listing? | No. The listing prints Ad Standards Council reference numbers instead |
| Ingredients | “25 nutrients and antioxidants” described, including lycopene, lutein, beta-carotene, folic acid, B6 and B12. The listing gives no amounts |
| Advisory found | None found for Centrum multivitamins |
| Seller | Haleon PH Official Store (866K shop ratings, 10K+ sold on this listing) |
| Price | ₱402 for 30 tablets, one a day |
The cheapest of the four per day and the best known, from the brand’s official store. It is a general adult multivitamin and not a men’s formula, but it is the one most men buy. The listing is the only one to print safety warnings: that the product contains iron, that vitamin A from other supplements should not exceed 3,000 mcg RE a day, and that pregnant or breastfeeding women should ask a doctor.
The listing gives no amounts, so you cannot check doses without the box. The claims lean on health outcomes: “protect your heart, eyes, immune system and so much more”. As the research section explains, no trial has shown a multivitamin prevents heart disease or cancer. The listing says the tablet contains iron. The US National Institutes of Health puts the recommended iron intake for adult men at 8 mg a day, so check the label against what your diet already gives you.
Why it scored well
- Lowest price per day of the four
- Prints iron and vitamin A safety warnings
- Registered as a drug, from the official store
Watch-outs
- No amounts on the listing; contains iron
- “Protects your heart, eyes and immune system” overreaches
- Not made specifically for men
Made for men
3. Maxvit Multivitamins with Ginseng and Royal Jelly (100 capsules)
51/100
FDA drug registered
Made for men
Amounts not stated
₱20 per capsule
| FDA status | Registered drug: “Maxvit” (multivitamins + minerals + ginseng + royal jelly softgel), DRP-3424 (PT Darya-Varia Laboratoria, valid to 8 November 2029) |
| FDA number in listing? | No. We found it on the FDA portal |
| Ingredients | “19 vitamins and minerals”, ginseng and royal jelly. The listing gives no amounts, and the ingredient spec says only “vitamin a c d e” |
| Advisory found | None for the Maxvit brand |
| Seller | Unilab store (141 ratings on this listing, 456 sold; the shop joined Shopee 10 months ago) |
| Price | ₱2,000 for 100 capsules (₱705 for a 50-capsule bundle) |
The best-known “for men” brand after Rogin-E, and registered as a drug. The listing says it is “specially formulated for the Filipino man so he can have the physical, mental, and sexual stamina that he needs”.
That is a stronger promise than the multivitamin evidence supports, and no amounts are given for any ingredient, so you cannot compare it with Rogin-E. The listing is filed under “Sexual Wellness”, gives the weight as 10 g and the ingredients as “vitamin a c d e”. At ₱20 a capsule it costs more than Centrum and gives you less information.
Why it scored well
- Registered as a drug
- Official Unilab brand
- Made for men
Watch-outs
- “Sexual stamina” promise
- No ingredient amounts
- Odd category, weight and ingredient spec
Energy and focus
4. Enervon Activ Multivitamins with Ginseng and Royal Jelly (100 capsules)
48/100
FDA drug registered
Adults, not men only
Amounts not stated
₱15 per capsule
| FDA status | Registered drug: “Enervon Activ” (multivitamins + minerals + ginseng + royal jelly), DRP-8932 (PT. Darya-Varia Laboratoria, valid to 1 July 2031) |
| FDA number in listing? | No. We found it on the FDA portal |
| Ingredients | B-complex, iron, vitamins A, C, E, zinc, ginseng and royal jelly are named. No amounts |
| Advisory found | None for the Enervon Activ brand |
| Seller | Unilab store (562 ratings on this listing, 6K+ sold) |
| Price | ₱1,500 for 100 capsules; “1 to 2 capsules daily” |
A popular, widely sold adult multivitamin from a Filipino drug maker, and registered as a drug. It is not a men’s product, but it is often bought as one, and it is the cheapest of the ginseng-and-royal-jelly formulas per capsule.
The listing promises “leveled-up energy”, “focus and clarity” and “optimal physical and mental performance”, and gives no amounts. It says the formula has iron, which most men do not need extra of. One buyer wrote that the “100 capsules” variation arrived as 30 capsules, so check what you are ordering and the seller’s pack size before paying.
Why it scored well
- Registered as a drug; established maker
- Cheaper per capsule than Maxvit and Rogin-E
- Pregnancy warning given
Watch-outs
- Energy and “optimal performance” claims, no amounts
- Contains iron, which most men do not need extra of
- A buyer reported a 30-capsule pack for a “100” variation
Also considered
Pharmaton Energy+ and Pharmaton Vitality (ginseng G115). Both are registered food supplements (for example FR-4000010572975 and FR-2555971). We saw the listings in search but did not read them, so we did not score them.
Stresstabs Energy Men. A men’s multivitamin with a drug registration (DR-XY47546), but the registration runs out on 19 November 2026 and we found no Shopee listing for it. Regular Stresstabs and Clusivol Plus are general multivitamins, and we did not score them here.
How to choose, if you still want one
- Check the FDA portal for the exact product name, in both the food and the drug records. See how to check.
- Prefer listings that give amounts for each nutrient, and compare them with the box.
- Skip iron unless a doctor has told you to take it.
- Do not stack products. Vitamin A, zinc and iron add up across supplements.
- Be wary of “stamina” and “performance” claims. A multivitamin does not do that.
- Buy from the brand’s official store and check the pack size.
- Tell your doctor if you take blood thinners or other medicine, or if you have a medical condition.
How we researched this guide
We searched Shopee for multivitamins for men on October 12, 2026, checked more than 15 brands against the FDA Philippines verification portal (food, drug and advisory records), and read four listings in full. Each was scored with our published rubric. Because multivitamins here are drug-registered and rarely print the registration number in the listing, we scored registration on what the FDA portal shows. Price uses the pack size in each listing.
The research summary is based on the US Preventive Services Task Force 2022 statement as summarised by secondary sources, and on the National Institutes of Health iron fact sheet as summarised in search results. We did not read the full documents. This guide is general information, not medical advice. It has not yet been reviewed by our health content reviewer.
Frequently asked questions
Do men need a multivitamin?
Most do not. The US Preventive Services Task Force found the evidence on multivitamins for preventing heart disease or cancer insufficient. People with a deficiency or a medical condition may need supplements, which a doctor decides.
What is the best multivitamin for men in the Philippines?
In our review, Rogin-E scored highest (69/100) for its full ingredient list, and Centrum Advance (68/100) is the best value. Neither is proven to improve stamina or prevent disease.
Is Rogin-E better than Centrum for men?
Rogin-E is made for men, lists every amount, and has no iron listed, but it costs about twice as much per capsule. Centrum is cheaper and general-purpose, and contains iron.
Do multivitamins increase stamina or sexual performance?
We found no trial that shows it. Listings that promise "sexual stamina" go beyond the evidence we read.
Do men need iron in a multivitamin?
The National Institutes of Health puts the recommended iron intake for adult men at 8 mg a day, and men rarely need more. Check whether your multivitamin has iron.
Why are multivitamins registered as drugs?
In the Philippines, many multivitamins hold drug registrations (DR- or DRP- numbers) rather than food supplement ones. Search both on the FDA portal.
Is it safe to take a multivitamin every day?
Most people can take a standard multivitamin as directed, but nutrients like vitamin A, iron and zinc add up across products. Tell your doctor what you take.
Are ginseng and royal jelly in Rogin-E worth it?
The amounts are small (20 mg of ginseng, 5 mg of royal jelly per capsule), and we found no trial of these amounts.
How do I check if a multivitamin is FDA registered?
Search the exact product name on verification.fda.gov.ph and look for a DR-, DRP- or FR- number, then search the brand in the FDA advisories.
Is Nature Made safe to buy on Shopee?
The FDA has issued several advisories on Nature Made products being unregistered. Check the exact product on the FDA portal first.
Is "FDA approved" on a listing real?
No. The FDA registers products but does not approve supplements. Match the exact product name to an FDA record.
When should I see a doctor instead?
If you feel tired all the time, are losing weight, or have symptoms that do not go away. A vitamin will not fix an underlying condition.
