Why we exist

Three gaps between a listing and the truth

01

Registered isn’t proven

An FDA registration means a product may be sold. It is not proof the product does what the listing promises.

02

A real number, the wrong product

A valid registration number can be copied onto a different product. We look every number up and check the name and company match.

03

The title says one thing

100 capsules in the title, 60 in the photo. 1,000 mg in the description, 500 mg on the label. We catch the contradictions.

How the score works

One rubric, every product, out of 100

No points for reputation. A famous brand with a thin listing can lose to an unknown one that tells you everything. Products that fail a safety or registration check are never recommended, whatever they would have scored.

Reading a listing yourself?

What we look for in the first 30 seconds.

  • Dose and form stated per serving
  • FDA number you can look up
  • Official or Mall store
  • “Cures”, “treats”, “prevents” on a supplement
  • “Certified” with nobody named
  • Brand-name product at half the official price

Questions people ask us

Short answers on how we score, how we are paid and how often we recheck prices.

Still wondering?Send us your question and we will get back to you.Ask a question
Does “FDA registered” mean a product works?

No. Registration means the product is on record with FDA Philippines and allowed to be sold. It is not an endorsement of the claims on the listing. That is why we score claims separately from registration.

How do you choose which products to review?

We start from what people actually find when they search Shopee and TikTok Shop, keep one product per brand, then read each full listing and score it with the same rubric.

Why would a famous brand score lower than an unknown one?

Because we score the listing, not the reputation. If a well-known brand’s listing leaves out the dose or the registration number, it loses those points, and we say so plainly.

How do you make money?

WellnessPicks is reader-supported. When you buy through links on this page we may earn a commission from Shopee, Lazada or TikTok Shop, at no extra cost to you. No brand pays to be featured or ranked. How we make money.

How current are prices and stock?

Shopee prices change constantly, so every guide shows the date we last checked. We recheck picks on a schedule and replace any that can no longer be bought.
