Quick verdict
Overall No clear overall winner: it depends on what you need.
Gatorade and Vivalyte are close overall (73 vs 71, too small a gap to call a clear winner). Gatorade has an exact, current food registration from the brand owner's shop, but its listing does not state sodium, potassium or sugar per sachet. Vivalyte prints sodium, potassium and sugar and how much water to use, but its seller's copy blurs the line with oral rehydration salts.
Choose Gatorade if
You want the brand-owner's shop and a sachet that is easy to carry, and you will check the sachet label for sodium, sugar and how much water to mix with.
Choose Vivalyte if
You want the numbers on the page (184 mg sodium and 3 g sugar per sachet in 200 mL) and a full ingredient list, and you will not use it as a treatment for diarrhoea or vomiting.
The overall pick follows the weighted Wellness Picks score (73 vs 71 out of 100), not the number of criteria won below.
Head-to-head summary
Rows come from each product’s record and from the guide that ranks both. Prices checked 2026-10-20. We did not use or test either product.
Criterion by criterion
Where the evidence is not strong enough to call a winner, we say so.
What you will care about when choosing
Gatorade is about ₱15 for a 14 g sachet; Vivalyte about ₱27.65 for a 4.6 g sachet that makes 200 mL. The sachets are different sizes and the Gatorade listing gives no water amount, so the prices are not like for like.
Evidence: Shopee prices checked 20 October 2026, from our electrolytes guide.
Vivalyte states sodium 184 mg, potassium 160 mg, carbohydrates 4 g and sugar 3 g per sachet. The Gatorade listing states none of these.
Evidence: Both Shopee listings.
Vivalyte says 1 sachet in 200 mL, up to 5 sachets in 1 L a day. Gatorade does not say how much water to mix with.
Evidence: Both Shopee listings.
Both are registered foods: Gatorade FR-4000013680862 (valid to 1 February 2030) and Vivalyte FR-4000014257380 (valid to 12 June 2031).
Evidence: FDA Philippines portal, as checked for our guide.

Final result
Rounds count every row equally. The weighted Wellness Picks score does not, and it decides the pick. On the scoring axes, a lead of at least 10% of the axis points counts as a round won.
Evidence and limits
- Gatorade: listing checked 2026-10-20; registration FR-4000013680862.
- Vivalyte: listing checked 2026-10-20; registration FR-4000014257380.
- We compare what each listing and the FDA record state; we did not use or test either product. General information, not medical advice.
- Not compared for lack of evidence: taste, how either affects hydration or performance, and sugar for Gatorade (not stated).
- Vivalyte is registered as a food drink mix, not as an oral rehydration salt. The seller titles it "Oral Rehydration Powder" and lists Pedialyte and Hydrite as "equivalent generics"; for illness, see our rehydration and ORS guide. The listing attributes mention magnesium and zinc that are not in the ingredient list.
- The Gatorade listing says "Turns water into fuel" with no source.
- Prices change; a price change does not change a score unless we re-score the product. This is general information, not medical advice.
