Best Collagen Supplements in the Philippines (2026): 4 Picks Checked Against FDA Records

Most collagen capsules give you a fraction of the amount used in studies, and two products on Shopee are under FDA warnings. We checked the best sellers against FDA records and the evidence.

Our verdict

If you are going to take collagen, take Pure Form Collagen powder (92/100). It is the only product we found that gives you, in one scoop, the amount of collagen most studies used: 10 g. It is registered, single-ingredient, and the cheapest per gram by a wide margin.

Prefer something chewable? Glow Goodies gummies (79/100) state their dose and registration clearly. The capsules we found give you 650 mg a day, a fraction of what the trials used.

Before you buy any of them, read the evidence section: the benefit for skin is smaller and more disputed than the marketing suggests.

Collagen is one of the best-selling wellness products on Shopee and TikTok Shop, sold as powders, gummies, capsules, drinks and “glow” blends with glutathione. Most listings promise firmer skin and fewer wrinkles. Few tell you the one number that decides whether a collagen supplement could plausibly do anything: how many grams of collagen you get each day. And two collagen products we found for sale are the subject of FDA public health warnings, with a third matching the description in another.

15×

more collagen in one scoop of our top pick than in a 650 mg capsule. Trials typically used 2.5 to 10 g a day; a capsule-a-day product delivers a fraction of that.

Does collagen actually work?

Honestly: possibly a little, for skin hydration and elasticity, and the evidence is contested.

  • The case for. A 2023 systematic review in Nutrients pooled 26 randomised trials with 1,721 participants and found hydrolyzed collagen improved skin hydration and elasticity compared with placebo, while flagging a risk of bias in the trials.
  • The case against. A 2025 meta-analysis in The American Journal of Medicine (Myung and Park) of 23 trials found the positive results came from industry-funded studies; trials without industry funding, and the higher-quality trials, showed no significant benefit. Its authors concluded there is currently no clinical evidence to support collagen for preventing or treating skin ageing. Supplement industry groups have disputed the analysis.
  • What most trials used. Daily doses were typically 2.5 to 10 g, taken for 8 to 12 weeks. Some trials used as little as 1 g. Effects on hydration were seen from around 4 weeks, on elasticity closer to 12 weeks.

So if you try collagen, give it about three months at a dose close to what was studied, and judge it honestly. If you notice nothing, you have not missed a secret: the independent evidence says that is a common result.

Grams, not “milligrams of goodness”

The single most useful thing to check on a collagen listing is the amount per day, and it varies enormously between formats:

FormatTypical collagen per day in our reviewTo reach 2.5 to 10 g
Powder10 g per scoopOne scoop, or a quarter to one scoop
Gummies2 g per 2 gummies3 to 10 gummies
Capsules650 mg per capsuleAbout 4 to 15 capsules
Capsule labels recommend one a day. We are not suggesting you take more than a label says; we are showing why a capsule-a-day product is unlikely to match the trials.

Glutathione-and-collagen “glow” blends usually make this worse: a single capsule shared between several ingredients leaves even less room for collagen, and the listings we read did not say how much collagen each capsule contained.

Marine, bovine, types I, II and III: does it matter?

  • Marine collagen comes from fish skin, scales and bones. Avoid it if you have a fish or seafood allergy. Poten-Cee + C is the only product here that says so on its label.
  • Bovine collagen comes from cattle and usually provides types I and III.
  • Type II collagen, from cartilage, is the type sold for joints, often in a very small “undenatured” dose of 40 mg a day. It is a different product from the skin collagens in this guide; the main trial behind it was funded by its manufacturer.
  • “Vegan collagen” does not exist. Collagen only comes from animals. Products sold as vegan “collagen boosters” contain other ingredients, not collagen.

Vitamin C is needed for the body to make collagen, which is why so many collagen products add it. Most people already get enough from food or a separate supplement, so it is not a reason to pay more. See our vitamin C guide.

Our picks

Best overall

1. Pure Form Collagen Powder (bovine, unflavoured)

92/100

4.6

Registered: FR-4000012504950

10 g collagen per scoop

Single ingredient

₱3.33 per gram of collagen

Registered asFood supplement, FR-4000012504950 (valid to March 2031)
FDA number in listing?Yes, plus the company’s FDA licence number
Collagen per serving10,000 mg hydrolyzed bovine collagen peptides, types I and III
Other ingredientsNone, according to the listing
SellerPure Form official store (Shopee Mall)
Price₱499 for 150 g (15 servings, about ₱33 per serving); ₱949 for 300 g

This is the only product we reviewed that gives you, in one daily serving, an amount of collagen in the range most clinical trials used. One scoop is 10 g of hydrolyzed bovine collagen and nothing else. That is roughly fifteen times the collagen in a typical 650 mg capsule, and it costs far less per gram than any capsule or gummy we found.

The listing is also the most complete we read: registration and licence numbers that match the FDA record, the source, the collagen types, how to take it, how to store it, and a clear caution for under-18s, pregnant or breastfeeding women, and anyone on medication.

Why it scored well

  • The only pick delivering a trial-sized dose in one serving
  • Prints both its FDA registration and licence numbers
  • Cheapest per gram of collagen by a wide margin

Watch-outs

  • “Lower our biological age” goes further than the evidence
  • “ISO 22000 & US FDA Registered Facility” names no facility or certifier
  • The specification panel lists “Marine Collagen” for a bovine product

Best gummy

2. Glow Goodies Collagen Gummies (60 gummies)

79/100

4.0

Registered: FR-4000013617228

2 g collagen per 2 gummies

Marine (fish) collagen

₱10.08 per gram of collagen

Registered asFood supplement, FR-4000013617228 (valid to February 2027)
FDA number in listing?Yes, plus the licence number
Collagen per serving2,000 mg hydrolyzed marine collagen per 2 gummies
Also containsBiotin, vitamin C, selenium, purple carrot juice (amounts not stated)
SellerGoodies Nutrition official store (Shopee Mall)
Price₱605 for 60 gummies (30 servings, about ₱20 per serving)

If you will not drink a powder every day, this is the most credible alternative. The listing prints its registration and licence numbers, both of which check out, and it states the dose that matters: 2 g of marine collagen per serving. That is within the range of some trials, though below most.

It loses points for a contradiction that is hard to miss: the listing calls the gummies “Non-GMO, vegan, plant-based” while the collagen comes from fish. Collagen only comes from animals, so a vegan collagen gummy is not possible. It also promises to reduce wrinkles and fine lines, which the evidence does not support, and does not say how much sugar each serving contains.

Why it scored well

  • States the collagen dose and source clearly
  • Registration and licence numbers in the listing
  • Honest disclaimer: “not a medical product to cure any disease”

Watch-outs

  • Calls itself “vegan, plant-based” while containing fish collagen
  • Sugar per serving not stated
  • About three times the price per gram of the powder

Best capsule

3. Poten-Cee + C Marine Collagen + Vitamin C (30 capsules)

69/100

3.5

Registered: FR-4000013199748

650 mg collagen per capsule

Allergy warning on label

₱35.38 per gram of collagen

Registered asFood supplement, FR-4000013199748 (valid to August 2031)
FDA number in listing? No. We found it on the FDA portal
Per capsule (from the label photo)650 mg hydrolyzed marine collagen + 90 mg vitamin C
Made byPascual Laboratories; distributed by Pascual Consumer Healthcare
SellerWatsons official store (Shopee Mall)
Price₱690 for 30 capsules (₱23 per capsule)

The best-labelled capsule we found, though you have to look at the box photo to see it. The label gives the exact amounts, the full ingredient list, the manufacturer, and the most responsible precautions of any product here: adults only, not for pregnant or breastfeeding women, and a warning that it contains a marine ingredient unsuitable for people with seafood allergies.

The problem is the dose. One 650 mg capsule a day is well below the 2.5 to 10 g used in most trials, and per gram of collagen it is the most expensive product in this guide, about ten times the price of the powder. The description also contradicts itself, calling the collagen “rich in Types I and II” in one line and “Type 1” in the next.

Why it scored well

  • Full amounts and manufacturer on the label photo
  • Seafood allergy and pregnancy precautions
  • Sold by an official retailer store

Watch-outs

  • 650 mg a day is a fraction of the amounts studied
  • Most expensive per gram of collagen
  • Description says “Types I and II”, then “Type 1”

Bovine capsule

4. Fern-C Beauty Collagen + Vitamin C (100 capsules)

58/100

2.9

Registered: FR-4000010992432

650 mg collagen per capsule

Bovine, types I & III

₱29.75 per gram of collagen

Registered asFood supplement, FR-4000010992432 (valid to March 2030)
FDA number in listing? No. We found it on the FDA portal
Per capsule (from the label photo)650 mg hydrolyzed bovine collagen + vitamin C
Pack100 capsules
SellerStada PH Store (the brand’s distributor; not a Shopee Mall store)
Price₱1,934 for 100 capsules (about ₱19 per capsule)

For buyers who want bovine rather than fish collagen in a capsule, this is the registered option from the brand’s own distributor. The label photo shows 650 mg of bovine collagen per capsule, the same amount as Poten-Cee’s marine version, and the box carries the “No approved therapeutic claims” statement.

The listing text, though, never states the amount, the manufacturer or an expiry date, and promises “wrinkle reduction”. The store does not have Shopee Mall’s authenticity guarantee, and one buyer reported in May 2026 that their box expired in October 2026, so check the date when yours arrives.

Why it scored well

  • Registered, and sold by the brand’s own distributor
  • Bovine types I and III stated
  • Large 100-capsule pack

Watch-outs

  • Collagen amount only visible on the box photo
  • No Shopee Mall guarantee on this store
  • A buyer reported short expiry. Check the date on arrival

Also considered

NeoCell Marine Collagen with Hyaluronic Acid, sold by S&R (57/100). A product with a registration on record (held by the importer Healthy Options) and sold through a Shopee Mall store, but the listing gives no collagen amount, no ingredient list and no registration number. Without the amount, there is no way to compare its value.

Dr. Daily Collagen + Gluta + Vitamin C (39/100). Its product image shows a registration number that checks out, but the description reads, word for word, “Registered as a food supplement with the FDA CPR XXXX”. The collagen amount is never stated, the title promises “Skin Whitening”, and the image carries both an “FDA APPROVED” stamp and a US FDA badge.

How to choose

  • Want the best chance of a result: a powder giving 2.5 to 10 g a day, taken for about three months.
  • Allergic to fish or seafood: choose bovine collagen (Pure Form or Fern-C Beauty).
  • Pregnant, breastfeeding, or buying for a teenager: talk to your doctor first. Several labels here say not recommended.
  • Comparing prices: work out the price per gram of collagen, not per bottle. In our review it ranged from about ₱3 to over ₱35.
  • Whatever you choose: check the registration on the FDA portal, even from a Shopee Mall store.

How to take it

Collagen powder dissolves in coffee, juice, smoothies or water, hot or cold. Take it at any time of day; consistency matters more than timing. Store powders sealed and dry, away from humidity, and check the expiry date when your order arrives.

How we researched this guide

We searched Shopee for collagen supplements on October 11, 2026, checked 18 brands against the FDA Philippines verification portal and its advisories, and read the six strongest listings in full, including their label photos. Each was scored with our published rubric. Price per gram uses the collagen amount stated in each listing or on its label.

Evidence was checked against the 2023 systematic review in Nutrients (26 trials, 1,721 participants) and the 2025 meta-analysis by Myung and Park in The American Journal of Medicine (23 trials, 1,474 participants), as reported by independent science press.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best collagen supplement in the Philippines?

In our review, Pure Form Collagen powder scored highest (92/100). It is registered with FDA Philippines, contains only hydrolyzed bovine collagen, gives 10 g per scoop, and is the cheapest per gram.

Does collagen really work for skin?

The evidence is contested. A 2023 review found improvements in skin hydration and elasticity, but a 2025 meta-analysis found no benefit in trials without industry funding. If you try it, use a studied dose for about three months.

How much collagen should I take a day?

Most trials used 2.5 to 10 g a day for 8 to 12 weeks. Follow the label of the product you buy, and talk to your doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or have a medical condition.

Are collagen capsules worth it?

The capsules we found contain about 650 mg each, a fraction of the amounts studied, and cost the most per gram of collagen. A powder is usually better value.

Is marine collagen better than bovine collagen?

There is no clear evidence that one source works better for skin. Marine collagen comes from fish and is unsuitable for people with seafood allergies; bovine collagen usually provides types I and III.

Is there such a thing as vegan collagen?

No. Collagen only comes from animals. "Vegan collagen" products contain other ingredients meant to support the body's own collagen production.

Do I need vitamin C with collagen?

Vitamin C is needed for the body to make collagen, but most people get enough from their diet or a separate supplement. It is not a reason to pay more for a collagen product.

Are collagen and glutathione gummies effective?

The combination products we reviewed did not state how much collagen they contain, so it is impossible to judge. Check the collagen amount per day before buying any blend.

Is NeoCell collagen on Shopee legit?

Several NeoCell products are registered in the Philippines, but in September 2026 the FDA warned against the unregistered NeoCell Super Collagen + C (6000 mg). Check the specific product on the FDA portal before buying.

Is DHC collagen registered in the Philippines?

We found no registration for DHC Collagen. In May 2026 the FDA warned against an unregistered DHC product sold in a white and pink pouch with tablets inside.

How long does collagen take to work?

In trials, changes in skin hydration appeared from around 4 weeks and in elasticity closer to 12 weeks. Many people notice no difference.

Who should not take collagen supplements?

People with fish or seafood allergies should avoid marine collagen. Several labels say their products are not recommended for children, or pregnant or breastfeeding women. Ask your doctor if unsure.
