Our verdict
Sinocare Safe AQ UG (64/100, ₱12.00 per test) is the best of a weak group: the brand’s official store, 3,261 ratings and a kit with 100 strips, but it tests glucose and uric acid only. If you want cholesterol as well, the Sinocare M101 (58) is the three-in-one from the same store; EasyTouch (51) and Cofoe (53) cost more per strip. We could not find an FDA record for any of the meters.
Home test kits are for monitoring, not diagnosing, and a cholesterol or uric acid reading at home is not a lab test. Ask your doctor how to use the results, and see a doctor before changing any medicine or diet because of a reading. We found no FDA device record for any of these meters and no listing names an accuracy standard, so treat every figure as the seller’s claim. This is general information, not medical advice, and no unit was used or tested.
We searched Shopee for cholesterol, uric acid and 3-in-1 test kits by brand and by type on October 27, 2026, read each finalist listing and shop record, and looked the brands up in the FDA Philippines device register. No kit had a matching record, so we ranked only nationally known brands sold by an official or long-standing shop and gave low scores for provenance. Unbranded kits, strips-only listings and very new shops went into the “careful with” table.
₱12.00 to ₱118.18
Price per included test for the ranked kits on 27 October 2026, from our calculation: the Sinocare Safe AQ UG kit is ₱12.00 per test, Cofoe ₱36.65 and EasyTouch ₱118.18; the Sinocare M101 does not say how many strips come in the kit. A cholesterol strip alone costs ₱109.90 to ₱117.00.

What a home test kit can and cannot tell you
These points are general information, not medical advice.
- A home meter gives a single reading from a small blood sample. It is for monitoring a trend between visits, not for diagnosing a condition, and a doctor orders lab tests to confirm.
- Cholesterol and uric acid strips cost far more than glucose strips: in this guide a cholesterol strip is ₱109.90 to ₱117.00, against ₱12 to ₱20 for a uric acid or glucose strip. The running cost, not the meter, is the real price.
- Strips expire, and once the vial is opened they last only months (Cofoe states 6 months for glucose, 3 for uric acid and 2 for cholesterol). A large pack of strips can expire before you use them.
- Some strips need a code card matched to the vial. A wrong code gives wrong results, so follow the manual.
- See a doctor if a reading worries you, if you have symptoms, or before you change any medicine or diet because of a home result.
What the FDA record means for test meters
These points are from the FDA Philippines verification portal.
- Medical devices are registered under CMDR-, MDR- and similar numbers; see our device registration explainer.
- We found no record by name for a cholesterol, uric acid or multi-function meter from Sinocare, EasyTouch, Cofoe, URIT, EasyMate or Topcare. Sinocare’s Philippine distributor does hold records for its lancets and blood pressure monitors, EasyTouch has a notification for examination gloves, and Topcare has notifications for other products.
- We found advisories naming other Sinocare products: a digital arm blood pressure monitor (FDA Advisory No. 2026-1256, September 2026) and a soft-twist lancet (2023). Neither names these meters.
- The portal returns only the first matches for a name, so a missing entry is not proof that none exists. Ask the seller for the registration number of the exact meter and strips.
What the claims on these listings actually mean
| Claim | What it covers | What the listing does not say |
|---|---|---|
| “Conforms to accuracy requirements” (Sinocare Safe AQ UG) | A seller statement | Which standard, and any result |
| “Accuracy boosted by up to 25%” and “up to 25% faster” (Sinocare M101) | A comparison with an unnamed earlier model | The baseline; the two statements contradict each other |
| “ISO certified” strips (Sinocare M101) | A certification claim | Which ISO standard, which body |
| “Simultaneous detection is helpful for early prevention” (Cofoe) | A health claim | Any source |
| “For diabetes, gout, pregnant” (Sinocare Safe AQ UG) | The people the seller says it suits | Evidence for each group |
| “Lifetime service” (EasyTouch) | A service promise | What is covered and who provides it |
Cholesterol and uric acid kit listings we would be careful with
| Product | What we found | Our check |
|---|---|---|
| URIT 5-in-1 lipid profile meter and strips (Sukha Family Health, ₱1,480 to ₱5,015) | A known device maker, but the shop opened in November 2023, prices vary widely by variant, the listing is pitched at “patients with hyperlipidemia” and shows a 6-month shelf life. | Not scored: short seller record, unclear variants |
| EasyMate GCU ET-311 (trustedqualitymed.ph, ₱2,595 to ₱3,995) | 38 sold and 18 ratings, with “101% legit and trusted seller” in the text. | Not scored: thin record |
| TOPCARE 4-in-1 strips (Botica Express and mcfranzmedicalsupplies, ₱590 to ₱1,235) | Strips only, sold by resellers; Topcare is registered for other products (bandages, a sphygmomanometer) but we found no meter record. | Not scored: strips only, no meter record |
| Sinocare M101 and Safe AQ UG from other sellers (₱519 to ₱1,095; shops opened in 2026) | Resellers of a brand with two official stores, for example Sun Prima Health Ph (opened June 2026) and a hotlistings_ph listing at ₱519. | Not scored: buy from the official stores |
| GUC, ACCU and ACCUGENCE 4-in-1 and 5-in-1 meters (₱318 to ₱610) | Unfamiliar brands from shops opened in 2026 or with no registry record. | Not scored: no established brand |
| Benecheck 3-in-1 (₱1,550, 4 sold) and AICARE YH302 (₱380) | No ratings or very few, no registry record. | Not scored: no record |
| Cofoe single-test uric acid meters (₱769 to ₱1,029) | The same brand as our Cofoe pick, but single-test devices from other shops with 29 to 44 ratings. | Not scored: thin listings |
How to choose a test kit from these listings
For a meter that tests blood sugar only, see our glucometer guide; for blood pressure see the blood pressure monitor guide.
- Want the lowest cost per test: Sinocare Safe AQ UG, which tests glucose and uric acid.
- Want cholesterol as well, with no coding: Sinocare M101, and budget for ₱109.90 cholesterol strips.
- Want a long-standing brand and a warranty card: EasyTouch, and confirm the warranty length with the seller.
- Want clear strip data: Cofoe, bought knowing it is a reseller.
- Ask the seller for the registration number, and check the strip expiry date when the package arrives.
General advice, not from the sources above: wash and dry your hands, use the lancet and strip once, follow the manual for the sample size and wait time, and do not reuse lancets. Keep a log, and take it to your doctor.
Our picks

64/100
Sinocare Safe AQ UG
Glucose + uric acid
₱12.00 per test
3,261 ratings
| Registration status | We found no FDA device record for the Safe AQ UG meter or strips. Sinocare’s Philippine distributor holds records for Sinocare lancets and blood pressure monitors, not this meter. |
| Specifications stated | Glucose 20 to 600 mg/dL, uric acid 3 to 20 mg/dL; sample 0.6 microlitre (glucose) and 3 microlitre (uric acid); glucose in 5 s, uric acid in 25 s; 100-result memory; 2 AAA batteries (not included) |
| In the box | Meter, 50 uric acid strips, 50 glucose strips, 50 lancets, lancing pen |
| Claims | “Conforms to accuracy requirements” (no standard named); “for diabetes, gout, pregnant” |
| Missing | Cholesterol function, an accuracy standard, warranty length |
| Seller | sinocare.ph (Shopee official store since October 2018, 152,807 followers, 4.90 shop rating, 90% response). Listing 4.9 from about 3,261 ratings; search shows 10,000 sold. |
| Price | ₱1,200 on 27 October 2026, ₱12.00 per included test; refill uric acid strips from the same shop are ₱645 for 50 (₱12.90 each) |
The brand’s own official store, the most ratings of the four and a kit that includes 100 strips, which makes the cost per test the lowest here.
It measures glucose and uric acid only. The listing names no accuracy standard, and its coding instructions are inconsistent: the headline says no coding, but the FAQ mentions a code chip.
Why it scored well
- Official brand store, 3,261 ratings
- 100 strips in the kit; ₱12.00 per test
- Ranges, sample sizes and test times stated
Watch-outs
- No FDA record for the meter
- No cholesterol function
- Accuracy claim names no standard; coding text inconsistent

58/100
Sinocare M101
Glucose + cholesterol + uric acid
No coding
₱109.90 per cholesterol strip
| Registration status | We found no FDA device record for the M101 meter or strips. The brand’s Philippine distributor holds records for Sinocare lancets and blood pressure monitors. |
| Specifications stated | Glucose 5 s, uric acid 10 s, cholesterol 25 s; no coding; 9 adjustable lancing depths; dehydrogenase strips with silver-carbon electrodes; 24-month shelf life |
| Claims | “Accuracy boosted by up to 25%” (the specification says “up to 25% faster”); “ISO certified” (no standard named); “strong resistance to interference from a wide range of medications” |
| Missing | Strips included in the kit, accuracy standard, ranges, sample volume, warranty |
| Seller | sinocare.ph (Shopee official store since October 2018, 152,807 followers, 4.90 shop rating, 90% response). Listing 4.9 from about 274 ratings; search shows 892 sold. |
| Price | ₱1,999 on 27 October 2026; refill strips from the same shop: uric acid ₱999 for 50 (₱19.98 each), cholesterol ₱1,099 for 10 (₱109.90 each) |
A coding-free three-in-one meter from the brand’s official store, with test times for all three tests.
The listing does not say how many strips you get, the accuracy claim contradicts itself (“boosted by 25%” in one place, “25% faster” in another) and no standard is named. A cholesterol strip is ₱109.90 each, so running costs matter more than the meter.
Why it scored well
- Tests glucose, cholesterol and uric acid
- No coding; test times for all three
- Official brand store
Watch-outs
- Strips in the box not stated
- Accuracy claim contradicts itself
- Cholesterol strips cost ₱109.90 each

53/100
Best-documented strips, from a reseller
3. Cofoe 3-in-1 Uric Acid, Cholesterol and Blood Glucose Meter Kit (healthylife88.ph)
ShopeeCofoe 3-in-1

₱36.65 per strip

| Registration status | We found no FDA device record for Cofoe by name. |
| Specifications stated | Glucose 5 s, 0.8 microlitre, 1.1 to 33.3 mmol/L, no coding; uric acid 15 s, 1.2 microlitre, 180 to 1,190 umol/L, code card; cholesterol 75 s, 15 microlitre, 2.6 to 10.4 mmol/L, code card; voice and backlight; 3 x 600 stored results |
| Strip shelf life stated | Glucose 24 months (6 months once opened); uric acid 20 months (3 months); cholesterol 18 months (2 months) |
| Claims | “Accuracy increased by 25%”; “simultaneous detection is helpful for early prevention” |
| Missing | Warranty length, accuracy standard |
| Seller | healthylife88.ph (regular reseller since January 2020, 16,317 followers, 4.84 shop rating, 100% response). Listing 4.6 from about 193 ratings; search shows 955 sold. |
| Price | ₱2,199 for the full set on 27 October 2026 (₱449 is one variant), ₱36.65 per included strip |
The most complete strip data of the four: ranges, sample sizes, times and how long each strip lasts once the vial is opened, which tells you how quickly a pack must be used.
It is sold by a reseller, not by Cofoe’s own store, it has the lowest rating (4.6) and the headline price covers one variant only. The coding steps (code cards for two of the three tests) are more work than the Sinocare no-coding meters.
Why it scored well
- Ranges, sample volumes and test times for all three tests
- Strip life once opened is stated
- 60 strips in the full set
Watch-outs
- Reseller, not the brand’s store; rating 4.6
- Headline price is one variant; full set ₱2,199
- Two tests need code cards; “accuracy up 25%” has no source

51/100
Known brand, small kit, thin specs
4. EasyTouch GCU 3-in-1 Glucose, Cholesterol and Uric Acid Starter Kit (EasytouchPh)
ShopeeEasyTouch GCU
Made in Taiwan
22 strips in kit
₱118.18 per strip

| In the box | Meter, 10 glucose strips, 2 cholesterol strips, 10 uric acid strips, lancing pen, 20 lancets, manual, logbook, check strip, warranty card |
| Specifications stated | Made in Taiwan; “fast test results in seconds”; “few blood sample needed”; 24-month shelf life |
| Warranty | Attributes say 3 years; the description says 2 years; “lifetime service” |
| Missing | Ranges, sample volume, test times, accuracy standard |
| Seller | EasytouchPh (regular shop since April 2019, 2,201 followers, 4.94 shop rating, 60% response). Listing 4.9 from about 556 ratings; search shows 1,000 sold. |
| Price | ₱2,600 on 27 October 2026, ₱118.18 per included strip; refills: uric acid ₱650 for 25 (₱26.00), cholesterol ₱1,170 for 10 (₱117.00) |
A long-running brand with a warranty and a complete starter kit, from a shop that has been on Shopee since 2019.
It is the dearest kit and has the thinnest specification: no ranges, no test times and only 2 cholesterol strips. The warranty length is stated two different ways.
Why it scored well
- Complete starter kit with logbook and warranty card
- Shop open since 2019, 556 ratings at 4.9
- Made in Taiwan; lifetime service
Watch-outs
- ₱2,600, the highest price
- Warranty stated as both 2 and 3 years
- No ranges or test times; 2 cholesterol strips
How to choose and buy a cholesterol or uric acid test kit on Shopee
- Buy from the brand’s own store: Sinocare has two official stores on Shopee.
- Compare cost per test, including the strip you will use most, not the meter price.
- Check how long the strips last once opened, and the expiry date on delivery.
- Ask the seller for the registration number; we found none on the FDA register for these meters.
- Avoid unbranded 4-in-1 and 5-in-1 meters, strips-only listings and very new shops.
- Use the results as a log to discuss with your doctor, not as a diagnosis.
How we researched this guide
We searched Shopee for cholesterol, uric acid, 3-in-1, EasyTouch, Sinocare and Benecheck test kits on October 27, 2026 and read each finalist listing and shop record through Shopee. We looked each brand up in the FDA Philippines verification portal (device register and advisories) and recorded what we found. We scored each product with our published rubric: provenance and registration (25, scored low because no record was found), disclosure (20), claims (20), consistency (10), seller record (15) and value (10). We did not use or test any unit.
This guide is general information, not medical advice. We found no FDA device record for any ranked meter, so our provenance scores are low and every performance figure is the seller’s claim. We could not verify any seller’s stock, strip expiry dates or packaging. This guide has not yet been reviewed by our health content reviewer, and we have not checked the Shopee affiliate programme’s rules for this category.
Frequently asked questions
Are cholesterol and uric acid meters FDA registered in the Philippines?
We found no record by name for the meters from Sinocare, EasyTouch, Cofoe, URIT, EasyMate or Topcare. The portal returns only the first matches, so ask the seller for the registration number.
Can a home test replace a lab test?
No. Home meters are for monitoring a trend. Ask your doctor how to use the results and which lab tests you need.
Which kit is cheapest per test?
The Sinocare Safe AQ UG at ₱12.00 per included test on 27 October 2026. It tests glucose and uric acid only.
Why are cholesterol strips so expensive?
In the listings we read a cholesterol strip cost ₱109.90 to ₱117.00 each, against ₱12 to ₱26 for a uric acid or glucose strip.
Do I need to code the strips?
It depends on the meter. The Sinocare M101 says no coding; the Cofoe uses code cards for uric acid and cholesterol.
Is it safe to change my medicine based on a home reading?
No. See a doctor before changing any medicine or diet because of a home result.
Did you test these kits?
No. We read the listings, checked the shops and the FDA portal, and scored what the sellers put in writing.
