Our verdict
Biofresh Men’s Diabetic Ankle Socks FMD4 (60/100, ₱335 per pair) is our pick, and it is a thin pick: the pool of diabetic socks with an identifiable brand and an official store is two listings, both Biofresh. The Biofresh Diabetic Socks, Medium (57, ₱280) is cheaper but its listing is weaker. Both make an unsupported claim about reducing the risk of neuropathy.
A sock cannot prevent, treat or reduce the risk of diabetic nerve damage, and neither listing offers evidence that it can. Non-binding socks are about fit and comfort. People with diabetes should ask their doctor or podiatrist about foot care and the right socks. No FDA registry check applies to socks, so these scores rest on brand, store and what each listing says. This is general information, not medical advice.
We searched Shopee for diabetic socks, non-binding socks, neuropathy socks and seamless socks on October 27, 2026, read each finalist listing and shop record, and searched the FDA Philippines portal, where no record applies to socks. Only socks from an identifiable brand sold by an official or long-standing store were ranked, which left two Biofresh listings. The best-selling “diabetic” socks are unbranded or are compression stockings, so they went into the “careful with” table.
₱280 to ₱335
Price per pair of the two ranked socks on 27 October 2026, from our listing reads: Biofresh Diabetic Socks (medium) ₱280 and the Biofresh FMD4 ankle sock ₱335. Unbranded multipacks cost ₱68 to ₱149 for several pairs.

What “diabetic socks” actually are
These points are general information, not medical advice.
- “Diabetic socks” is a marketing term, not a regulated product category. The features the listings describe are a non-binding top, a seamless or flat toe seam, cushioning and moisture control.
- Non-binding socks are about fit: they are meant not to leave marks or squeeze. They are different from compression socks, which apply pressure on purpose. Some people with poor circulation or reduced sensation should not wear compression without a doctor’s advice.
- A sock does not treat, prevent or reduce the risk of diabetic nerve damage or foot ulcers. Foot care for people with diabetes (checking feet daily, wearing well-fitting shoes, treating small wounds early) belongs with your doctor or podiatrist.
- Antimicrobial treatments on socks are manufacturer claims, and none of the listings names a test.
What a regulator check can and cannot tell you here
These points are from the FDA Philippines verification portal.
- Socks are not FDA-registered products in the Philippines that we could find. We searched Biofresh, “diabetic” and “socks” and found no sock record and no advisory naming these products.
- Biofresh has cosmetic notifications for a foot and heel balm and an antimicrobial foot powder. Those do not cover its socks.
- Without a registry check, we scored provenance on brand, store and how complete each listing is, so the scores are lower than in guides where a registry match was possible.
- The portal returns only the first matches for a name, so a missing entry is not proof that none exists.
What the claims on these listings actually mean
| Claim | What it covers | What the listing does not say |
|---|---|---|
| “Recommended to reduce the risk of neuropathy” (Biofresh, both listings) | A health claim | Who recommends it, or any evidence; a sock cannot do this |
| “Kills 99% of microbes” (Biofresh) | An antimicrobial treatment claim | The test, the organisms or the number of washes it lasts |
| “Developed and designed by foot doctors” (Biofresh) | A design statement | Which doctors or any study |
| “Non-binding fit allows good circulation” (Biofresh) | A fit statement | That it improves circulation |
| “For diabetes sufferers” (another seller) | A medical audience | Any evidence or registration |
| “Prevents varicose veins” (loose-mouth socks) | A disease-prevention claim | Any evidence; a sock does not prevent varicose veins |
Diabetic sock listings we would be careful with
| Product | What we found | Our check |
|---|---|---|
| “Loose mouth” and “extra wide diabetic” multipacks (₱68 to ₱149 for several pairs) | Unbranded sets, some with “prevent varicose veins” in the title and shops with no response. | Not scored: no brand |
| Diawell Diabetic Health Socks (diawell.ph, ₱779 to ₱2,102) | A shop that opened in November 2025 with 0 followers; the listing says it is “suitable for diabetes sufferers” and “for wounds”. | Not scored: new shop, medical claims |
| Health socks for diabetes and the elderly (₱455) and “neuropathy therapy” socks (₱109) | Compression-style products from small or unknown shops with therapy claims. | Not scored: no brand, medical claims |
| Compression stockings labelled “diabetic” (₱85 to ₱594) | These apply pressure and are a different product. People with diabetes or reduced sensation should ask a doctor before using compression. | Not ranked: see our compression socks guide |
| Non-slip hospital or yoga socks sold as “diabetic” (₱68) | Grip socks with no brand and no information. | Not scored: no brand |
| Walker organic cotton crew socks (₱98, official store) | A Philippine brand with an antimicrobial claim, but sold as a regular sock, not as a diabetic sock. | Not ranked: different product |
How to choose diabetic socks from these listings
For compression socks see our compression socks guide, and for cracked heels see our foot repair cream guide.
- Want a sock with the fibre and care steps stated: Biofresh FMD4, and expect to hand-wash it.
- Want the lowest price: Biofresh Diabetic Socks, accepting the thin listing.
- Ask your doctor or podiatrist which socks and shoes suit you.
- Do not rely on antimicrobial or “reduce neuropathy risk” wording.
- Avoid compression stockings sold as “diabetic” unless a clinician says so.
General advice, not from the sources above: check your feet every day for cuts, blisters or redness, wear socks without tight bands, change them daily and see a doctor promptly for any wound or colour change.

The more complete of the two Biofresh listings: it names the fibre content, length and care steps, and comes from a large official store.
The “kills 99% of microbes” and “reduce the risk of neuropathy” lines have no source, and a sock cannot reduce the risk of a nerve condition. Only one size (M) and one colour are listed, and it must be hand-washed.

| Price | ₱280 per pair on 27 October 2026 |
The lowest price and the largest official seller, with the fibre mix stated (80% cotton) and the same non-binding design as the other Biofresh sock.
The listing is a pasted blurb: no care steps, “toe socks” in the attributes, a “360-day shelf life” and the same unsupported neuropathy and antimicrobial claims.
Why it scored well
- ₱280 per pair, the lowest
- Watsons official store, 41 ratings
- Fibre mix and design stated
Watch-outs
- “Reduce the risk of neuropathy” is repeated with no source
- No care steps or size chart
- Attributes say “toe socks” and a 360-day shelf life
How to choose and buy diabetic socks on Shopee
- Buy from an official store: both ranked listings are from Watsons or Burlington PH.
- Check the fibre mix, size and care steps; the cheaper listing gives no care steps.
- Do not buy on the basis of “kills 99% of microbes” or “reduce the risk of neuropathy”.
- Avoid unbranded multipacks, new shops and compression stockings sold as “diabetic”.
- Ask your doctor or podiatrist about socks, shoes and daily foot checks.
- Compare price per pair, not per pack.
How we researched this guide
We searched Shopee for diabetic socks, non-binding socks, seamless socks, neuropathy socks and compression socks on October 27, 2026 and read each finalist listing and shop record through Shopee. We searched the FDA Philippines verification portal and found no sock record or advisory. We scored each product with our published rubric: provenance (25, scored on brand and store because no registration applies), disclosure (20), claims (20), consistency (10), seller record (15) and value (10). We did not use or test any product.
This guide is general information, not medical advice. Only two listings met our rules, so the guide is short and has two picks. We could not verify any seller’s stock, materials or packaging. This guide has not yet been reviewed by our health content reviewer, and we have not checked the Shopee affiliate programme’s rules for this category.
Frequently asked questions
What are diabetic socks?
A marketing term for socks with a non-binding top, a flat toe seam and cushioning. It is not a regulated category.
Do diabetic socks prevent neuropathy or foot ulcers?
No. The listings say "recommended to reduce the risk of neuropathy" but give no source, and a sock cannot do this. Ask your doctor or podiatrist.
Are diabetic socks FDA registered?
We found no FDA registration or notification for socks. Biofresh has cosmetic notifications for a foot balm and foot powder, not for its socks.
Are compression socks the same as diabetic socks?
No. Compression socks apply pressure; non-binding socks are meant not to squeeze. Ask a doctor before using compression if you have diabetes or reduced sensation.
Which diabetic socks are cheapest per pair?
Biofresh Diabetic Socks (medium) at ₱280 on 27 October 2026, then the Biofresh FMD4 at ₱335.
Did you test these socks?
No. We read the listings, checked the shops and the FDA portal, and scored what the sellers put in writing.
