Our verdict
Omron HN-289 (83/100, ₱1,699) is our top pick for a plain scale, and Xiaomi Smart Scale S200 (79/100, ₱1,099) is the better value if you want an app. Both state their weighing range and display step, which only two of the five listings do. Gaabor (64/100, ₱293) is the budget choice that tells you the least.
This guide is about bathroom (body weight) scales, not kitchen or luggage scales. We skipped unbranded glass scales and listings that state no specifications at all, and they are in the table below. This is general information, not medical advice.
We searched Shopee for digital weight and body composition scales on October 17, 2026 and kept five from brand official stores. No FDA registration applies to a household scale, so we scored brand, store and warranty evidence instead, and we say so on every listing.
2 of 5
of the listings we scored state both a weighing capacity and a smallest display step: Omron (150 kg, 100 g) and Xiaomi (0.1 to 150 kg, 0.05 kg). Huawei gives the step only, and eufy and Gaabor give neither. Counted from the five listings we read on October 17, 2026.

What a home scale can and cannot tell you
These points come from published studies found for this guide, not from the listings, and they are general information. We did not test any scale.
- A weight-only scale measures weight. The body-fat, muscle and bone numbers on smart scales are estimates from a small electrical current (bioelectrical impedance).
- A 2025 study of a multi-frequency device found only modest agreement with DXA for body fat, with a bias of about 4 percentage points in men. That was a clinical device, not a home scale.
- A study in youth notes that hydration and recent food intake can skew impedance results from older single-frequency devices.
- So use body-fat readings to watch a trend under the same conditions (same time of day, same state of hydration), not as a diagnosis. Huawei’s own listing says the same: the data is “for reference only”.
- Pregnant women, people with a pacemaker or other implanted device, and children should not use the body-composition function. The Huawei listing says so, and a doctor can advise.
What the claims on these listings actually mean
| Claim | What it covers | Key exclusion |
|---|---|---|
| “Four-sensor accuracy technology” (Omron) | The scale uses four sensors under the platform. | No error figure; the stated display step is 100 g. |
| “High precision” or “highly sensitive sensor” | Marketing wording used on many listings. | Not backed by a figure on the listing. Compare the stated display step instead. |
| “Match DEXA Gold Standard (0.92)” (Huawei) | A claimed agreement with a clinical body-composition method. | No study, no unit and no sample size on the listing; the same listing says it is not a medical device. |
| “12 body measurements” or “10 body indicators” | The number of values the app shows. | Most are estimated from impedance, not measured directly; no error range given. |
| “180 Days Battery Life” (Xiaomi title) | A claim about battery life. | The specification lists 3 AAA batteries but no battery-life figure. |
| “1 Year Xiaomi Official Warranty” | Warranty cover from Xiaomi Philippines as stated by the seller. | We did not test a claim; read the terms and keep your receipt. |
| “100% Original” | The seller says the product is genuine. | Not proof; check that the shop is the brand’s official store. |
Weight scale listings we would be careful with
| Product | What we found | Our check |
|---|---|---|
| “100% Original” Smilee, Iscale, Lucky and AMZ glass scales (₱158 to ₱185) | The best-selling glass scales (one listing at 60,000 sold). Smilee Shop is not an official store (since May 2018, 471,182 followers). Several shops sell near-identical “Iscale” titles, and we found no brand record beyond the listing titles. We did not read these listings in full. | Not scored |
| Hodekt Body Weighing Scale (₱359 white, ₱450 black) | Hodekt Official Store (since June 2022, 912,416 followers). The listing text we read has service and feedback lines only: no capacity, step, power or features. The black and white variants differ by ₱91. | Not scored: nothing stated to score |
| OOKAS Electronic Weighing Scale for Human (₱269) | OOKAS.PH has the official-store flag (since May 2021, 710,874 followers) and 60,000 sold on one listing. We did not read this listing. | Not scored this time |
| Lenovo-named digital scales (₱477 to ₱485) | Sold by Yiomios.ph and Yiomio Store (Shopee-verified shops, opened 2022 and 2023), not a Lenovo store that we found. | Not scored |
| Tanita body composition and bathroom scales (₱1,191 to ₱5,686) | Listings come from Japan-based or small resellers with 0 to 98 sold each. Tanita is a known brand; we found no Tanita official store listing. | Not scored |
| Omron HN-289 from small shops (₱1,980 to ₱1,999) | The same model costs ₱1,699 in the Omron Philippines store, and the small-shop listings have 8 to 9 sold. | Not scored; pay the official price |
| Xiaomi “S400” listings (₱1,069 to ₱7,541) | The same S400 name appears across a wide price range in the offer list, from many shops. We kept only the Authorized Xiaomi Mall PH listing. | Not scored (check the shop before buying) |
| Mechanical (analog) scales, kitchen, pocket and luggage scales | Different products from a body digital scale. | Outside this guide |
Our picks

83/100
Up to 150 kg
100 g steps
Weight only
About ₱1,699
| FDA status | No registry check applies to a household weighing scale. No FDA advisory found naming it. |
| Specifications stated | Weighs up to 150 kg, shows the nearest 100 g, selectable kg, lb or st, four-sensor technology, automatic on and off, large LCD, 270 x 290 x 22 mm, 12-month supplier warranty. |
| Claims | “Four-sensor accuracy technology”; “precision meets style”; “backed by OMRON’s reputation for quality”. |
| Inconsistencies | None found between the description and the attributes. The listing does not say what power it uses. |
| Seller | Omron Philippines (official store), on Shopee since 28 May 2018, 179,371 followers, shop rating 4.92. This listing: 4.9 stars from 3,021 ratings, 10,000 sold. |
| Price | ₱1,699, or ₱1,699 per year of stated warranty, checked October 17, 2026. |
It ranks first because it tells you the most about what it measures: a 150 kg capacity, 100 g display steps and the warranty, from the brand’s own store. Nothing on the listing contradicts itself, which was rare among the five.
It measures weight only, no body fat or app, and it is the most expensive per year of warranty here. The Omron brand name gives a warranty to claim against; it does not tell you how accurate this particular scale is.
Why it scored well
- States capacity and display step
- Official brand store with a 12-month warranty
- No contradictions found on the listing
Watch-outs
- Weight only, no body composition
- Priciest per year of warranty of the five
- Accuracy is not stated beyond the 100 g step
Best for: a smart scale with a stated warranty
2. Xiaomi Smart Scale S200 Global Version (Authorized Xiaomi Mall PH)
ShopeeLazada79/100
0.1 to 150 kg
0.05 kg steps
Bluetooth app
About ₱1,099
| FDA status | No registry check applies to a household weighing scale. No FDA advisory found naming it. |
| Specifications stated | Weighing range 0.1 to 150 kg, minimum increment 0.05 kg, kg and lb, Bluetooth Low Energy 5.4, 3 AAA batteries, tempered glass, Xiaomi Home app, 1-year Xiaomi warranty. |
| Claims | “180 Days Battery Life” (title); “100% authenticated directly from Xiaomi Philippines”. |
| Inconsistencies | Attribute dimensions 30.00 x 29.30 x 3.40 cm against 280 x 280 x 24.5 mm in the description. The title promises 180 days of battery life that the specification does not give. The same listing also sells the S400 at ₱1,639. |
| Seller | Authorized Xiaomi Mall PH (official store), on Shopee since 17 July 2023, 392,403 followers, shop rating 4.90. This listing: 4.9 stars from 903 ratings, 3,000 sold. |
| Price | ₱1,099 (S200), or ₱1,099 per year of stated warranty, checked October 17, 2026. |
It is the best value of the scales that state both a capacity and a display step, and the listing spells out the warranty and where to take it. The Xiaomi Home app gives you the readings over Bluetooth.
Check that you choose the S200 variant, because the same listing mixes in the ₱1,639 S400. The dimension mismatch and the unsupported battery-life claim cost it points on consistency.
Why it scored well
- States range, step and a 1-year warranty
- Official Xiaomi store
- Cheaper than the Omron, with an app
Watch-outs
- Dimensions disagree between attribute and description
- 180-day battery claim has no figure behind it
- One listing, two models and two prices

75/100
10 body indicators
0.05 kg steps
Not a medical device
About ₱899
| FDA status | No registry check applies to a household weighing scale. No FDA advisory found naming it. |
| Specifications stated | Bioelectrical impedance body composition, 10 body indicators, minimum increment 0.05 kg, body fat for ages 18 to 65 only, Huawei Sports Health app. |
| Claims | “Match DEXA Gold Standard (0.92)”; “TruFit 2.0 body composition model”; “AI technology”. |
| Inconsistencies | The warranty attribute says “No Warranty”. “0.92” is given with no unit or study. No weighing capacity is stated. |
| Seller | Huawei Official Store, on Shopee since 18 February 2019, 1,991,183 followers, shop rating 4.91. This listing: 4.9 stars from 7,661 ratings, 20,000 sold. |
| Price | ₱899, about ₱89.90 per stated body indicator, checked October 17, 2026. |
The listing is candid about limits: it says the scale is not a medical device, that body fat is measured only for ages 18 to 65, and that it is not recommended for pregnant women, infants or people with implanted devices such as pacemakers. The eufy listing, for comparison, says none of this.
The “0.92 match to DEXA” has no study behind it on the page, and the listing’s warranty attribute reads “No Warranty”, so ask the store what cover you get before you buy.
Why it scored well
- Clear health and use limits on the listing
- Official store with 1.99 million followers
- Lowest price of the body-composition scales
Watch-outs
- Warranty attribute says “No Warranty”
- “Match DEXA (0.92)” is unexplained
- No weighing capacity stated

71/100
12 body measurements
Up to 16 profiles
18-month warranty
About ₱995
| FDA status | No registry check applies to a household weighing scale. No FDA advisory found naming it. |
| Specifications stated | 12 body measurements, Bluetooth, up to 16 app profiles, 26 x 26 x 2.5 cm, 18-month warranty (attribute). |
| Claims | “12 key insights, including weight, body fat %, bone and muscle mass”. |
| Inconsistencies | No weighing capacity, display step, battery type or accuracy is stated. |
| Seller | Anker eufy (official store), on Shopee since 17 April 2020, 52,782 followers, shop rating 4.91. This listing: 4.9 stars from 753 ratings, 3,000 sold. |
| Price | ₱995, about ₱663.33 per year of stated warranty (18 months), checked October 17, 2026. |
It has the longest warranty of the five, 18 months, and a family-friendly 16 profiles in the app, from the brand’s official store.
The listing is short: it names 12 measurements but not how they are estimated, and gives no capacity or step. Treat the body-fat and bone-mass numbers as rough estimates.
Why it scored well
- 18-month warranty, the longest here
- Up to 16 profiles for a family
- Official store, low price for a smart scale
Watch-outs
- No capacity, step or battery stated
- No method or error range for the 12 measurements
- Smallest shop following of the five

64/100
USB rechargeable
LED display
12-month warranty
About ₱293
| FDA status | No registry check applies to a household weighing scale. No FDA advisory found naming it. |
| Specifications stated | Large LED display, tempered glass, USB charging (up to half a year on a full charge), induction switch, indoor temperature display, 12-month warranty. |
| Claims | “High-strength tempered glass”; “intelligent measurement of indoor temperature … health tips”. |
| Inconsistencies | No weighing capacity or smallest step. Warranty covers “un-artificial problems”. The description ends with a block of hashtags. The brand record rests on the official-store flag only. |
| Seller | Gaabor Official Store, on Shopee since 9 July 2021, 1,573,142 followers, shop rating 4.83. This listing: 4.9 stars from 19,099 ratings, 60,000 sold. |
| Price | ₱293, or ₱293 per year of stated warranty, checked October 17, 2026. |
This is the budget pick: a rechargeable scale with a large LED display at about a sixth of the Omron’s price, with a 12-month warranty and 19,099 ratings on the listing.
It tells you little about itself. There is no capacity, no step and no accuracy figure, and we found nothing on the brand beyond its own store, so its score is low on provenance and disclosure. Buy it only if the price matters most.
Why it scored well
- Lowest price of the five
- Rechargeable, with a 12-month warranty
- 19,099 ratings on this listing
Watch-outs
- No capacity, step or accuracy stated
- No brand record beyond its own store
- Hashtag-filled description; vague warranty wording
How to choose a digital weight scale
- Check capacity first. Look for the maximum weight (150 kg is common) and make sure it covers everyone in the family.
- Look for the display step. 100 g or 50 g steps let you see small changes; a listing that states neither is less useful.
- Decide whether you need body composition. If you only want weight, a plain scale such as the Omron is simpler and has fewer numbers to misread.
- Check the warranty on the listing and the shop. Official brand stores state it; some listings say “No Warranty”.
- Place the scale on a hard, flat floor, not carpet, and weigh at the same time of day for trends.
- Watch the price. The same model can cost much more in small shops than in the brand’s store.
How we researched this guide
We searched the Shopee affiliate offer list and Shopee search for digital weight, bathroom and body composition scales on October 17, 2026, widened the search by brand name (Omron, Xiaomi, Tanita, Huawei, eufy, Gaabor and others), checked each shop’s identity and joining date, and read the listing text of each finalist. We checked the FDA Philippines verification portal: household weighing scales are not registered there, only medical-grade scales, and we found no advisory naming the scales we scored. We scored them with our published rubric: provenance and registration (25), disclosure (20), claims (20), consistency (10), seller record (15) and value (10). We did not use or test any product, and we cannot say how accurate any scale is.
The portal lookup returns only the first matches for a word, so “not found” means we did not see it. Scores are low because most listings state little, so the best score is 83. This guide has not yet been reviewed by our health content reviewer, and we have not checked the Shopee affiliate programme’s rules for this category.
Frequently asked questions
Are digital weight scales FDA registered?
Household weighing scales are not registered in the FDA Philippines portal; only medical-grade scales appear. We found no advisory naming the scales in this guide, so we scored brand, store and warranty evidence.
Which is the most accurate scale here?
We cannot say. We did not test any scale, and none of the listings gives an accuracy figure. Omron and Xiaomi at least state a display step (100 g and 0.05 kg).
Do I need a body fat scale?
Not for weight. Body-fat numbers are estimates from impedance, are skewed by hydration and food, and are better used for trends than as a diagnosis.
Can children or pregnant women use the body composition function?
The Huawei listing says it is not recommended for pregnant women, infants or people with implanted devices, and that body fat is measured only for ages 18 to 65. Ask a doctor if unsure.
Why is the cheapest scale ranked last?
The Gaabor listing states no capacity, step or accuracy and we found no brand record beyond its own store. It is a fair budget choice if price matters most.
What does "price per year of warranty" mean?
The price divided by the warranty on the listing, in years, for example ₱995 over 1.5 years is ₱663.33. It is a rough way to compare value, not a quality measure.
Why does the Huawei listing say "No Warranty"?
The warranty attribute on the listing reads "No Warranty". We do not know what cover Huawei gives; ask the store before you buy.
Is the Xiaomi S200 the same as the S400?
No. The S400 is a body composition model. The S200 listing we scored also sells the S400 at ₱1,639, so pick the variant you want.
How should I use a bathroom scale?
Use a hard flat floor, stand still, and weigh at the same time of day. For body-fat readings keep conditions the same each time.
Are analog scales better?
Mechanical scales are outside this guide. We compared digital scales only.
Why are Tanita scales not scored?
We found them only from Japan-based or small resellers with few sales, not from an official Tanita store.
How often should I weigh myself?
That depends on your goals and health. This guide cannot say; ask your doctor or dietitian.
