Our verdict

Durex Play Feel (76/100, about ₱6.60 per mL) is our top pick: exact device registration, sold by the brand owner. EZ Lubricating Jelly (74) is the cheapest per gram, K-Y (72) is the one that names the condom materials it suits, and Jellytime (69) lists the most ingredients.

In the Philippines, personal lubricants are regulated as medical devices. Several of the best-selling lubes on Shopee have been named in FDA advisories or have no record we could find, and we did not rank them. This is general information, not medical advice.

We searched the Shopee affiliate offer list and Shopee search for personal lubricants on October 17, 2026, by brand and by store, and looked each one up in the FDA Philippines medical device records. We kept water-based lubricants with a current registration or notification, sold by the brand owner’s shop or a Shopee Mall retailer.

Ranked lubricant listings that give a pH or an osmolality, the two figures the WHO uses to judge how gentle a lubricant is.

What makes a lubricant gentle: the WHO advisory note

These points come from the WHO, UNFPA and FHI 360 advisory note Use and procurement of additional lubricants for male and female condoms (WHO/RHR/12.33, 2012). It was written for agencies buying lubricants in bulk; later WHO/UNFPA specifications built on it. General information, not medical advice.

  • Latex condoms rapidly lose strength when exposed to oil-based lubricants. With latex condoms, use a water-based or silicone lubricant, never oil, petroleum jelly or lotion.
  • Osmolality (how concentrated a lubricant is) matters. The note says it should ideally not exceed 380 mOsm/kg and recommends no more than 1200 mOsm/kg for now, while most commercial lubricants it reviewed measured 2,000 to 6,000. Very concentrated lubricants may damage the lining of the vagina or rectum.
  • Glycerol and propylene glycol are the main reason a lubricant is concentrated. To stay under 1200 mOsm/kg, the note gives limits of about 9.9% glycerol or 8.3% propylene glycol. Warming lubricants often contain high levels of propylene glycol.
  • The healthy vagina has a pH of about 3.8 to 4.5, and the rectum is closer to neutral. Ideally a vaginal lubricant has a pH of about 4.5, and a rectal one about 5.5 to 7.
  • Spermicide additives, mainly nonoxynol-9, have significant irritant effects and are not recommended.
  • Preservatives such as parabens can cause irritation in some people.

None of the four listings gives an osmolality or a pH figure, so you cannot compare them on these points from Shopee. Jellytime says it is “pH-balanced” without a number. If irritation is a concern, ask the brand for these figures or speak with a doctor.

About ₱6.60 per mL

FDA statusRegistered medical device: “Durex Play Feel Water-based Lube”, CMDR-2026-07527, valid to 31 March 2031. No advisory found.
Specifications stated50 mL; water-based; “can use with Durex condoms”; for vaginal, anal and oral sex; easy to wash off; non-staining; discreet delivery

Not statedIngredients, pH, osmolality
SellerReckitt Wellness Official PH, the brand owner’s official shop (on Shopee since April 2020, 186K followers, 4.89 shop rating, 95% response). Listing 4.90 from 39,458 ratings; search shows 80K+ sold.
Price₱330 for 50 mL, about ₱6.60 per mL (17 October 2026)

Durex Play Feel has an exact, current medical device registration and is sold by Reckitt, the brand owner, from a shop with nearly 40,000 ratings on this listing. It says it works with Durex condoms and lists the kinds of sex it is meant for, and its claims stay close to what a lubricant does.

It does not list its ingredients, its pH or its osmolality, which are the three things that would let you judge how gentle it is (see the WHO section below). The condom lines pasted into the listing are about condoms, not this gel. Resellers sell the same 50 mL tube with scrambled titles for ₱975 to ₱1,026; the official shop price was ₱330.

Why it scored well

  • Exact, current registration
  • Brand owner’s shop; huge rating count
  • States condom use and types of sex

Watch-outs

  • No ingredient list, pH or osmolality
  • Condom text pasted into the listing
  • Overpriced copies from other shops
EZ Lubricating Jelly, 76 g tube (Watsons Official Store)

74/100

3.7

Lowest price per gram

2. EZ Lubricating Jelly, 76 g tube (Watsons Official Store)

Shopee

Water-based jelly

Condom friendly (stated)

FDA-registered name

About ₱3.05 per g

FDA statusTwo device records are named “EZ Lubricating Jelly”: MDR-04299 (valid to 27 April 2027) and DVR-4815 (valid to 3 January 2029); a strawberry 50 mL version is MDR-09962. The listing does not say which record covers this tube, so this is a name match. No advisory found.
Specifications stated76 g tube; water-based; “condom friendly”; “Apply liberally”
Claims“provides feeling of natural lubrication”
Not statedIngredients, which condoms it suits, pH, osmolality, expiry
SellerWatsons Official Store, Shopee Mall retailer (on Shopee since September 2018, 7.18M followers, 4.90 shop rating, 100% response). Listing 4.91 from 4,097 ratings; search shows 10K+ sold.
Price₱232 for 76 g, about ₱3.05 per g (17 October 2026)

EZ costs about half as much per gram as the other picks, and the name matches current device registrations. It is sold through Watsons’ Mall store. Its listing makes no big promises, which counts in its favour under our method.

It is also two sentences long. “Condom friendly” does not say which condoms (latex, polyisoprene, polyurethane), and there is no ingredient list or expiry. If you have sensitive skin, check the tube for the ingredients before you use it.

Why it scored well

  • Lowest price per gram
  • Registered name; Mall retailer
  • No exaggerated claims

Watch-outs

  • Two-sentence listing
  • Does not say which condoms
  • Not clear which registration applies
K-Y Lubricating Jelly, 100 g (Reckitt Wellness Official PH)

72/100

3.6

Fragrance-free; latex and polyisoprene safe

3. K-Y Lubricating Jelly, 100 g (Reckitt Wellness Official PH)

ShopeeLazada

Water-based jelly

Fragrance-free

FDA-notified device

About ₱6.11 per g

FDA statusNotified medical device: “K-Y Lubricating Jelly Sterile”, Reckitt Benckiser Healthcare (Philippines), CDRRHR-CMDN-2025-01154, valid to 13 March 2029. The listing is titled “Durex KY” and does not say sterile, so this is a close match. No advisory found.
Specifications stated100 g; water-based; fragrance-free; non-greasy; “Safe use even with latex & polyisoprene condoms”
Claims“non-irritating”, “The #1 Doctor Recommended brand”, relieves vaginal dryness
InconsistenciesThe title joins two brand names (“Durex KY”); the same pasted condom lines as the Durex listing.
SellerReckitt Wellness Official PH (on Shopee since April 2020, 186K followers, 4.89 shop rating, 95% response). Listing 4.90 from 5,000 ratings; search shows 10K+ sold.
Price₱611 for 100 g, about ₱6.11 per g (17 October 2026)

K-Y is the only pick whose listing names the condom materials it is safe with, latex and polyisoprene, and it says plainly that it is fragrance-free. It comes from the brand owner’s official shop, and the brand is notified as a medical device.

“#1 Doctor Recommended” gives no source, and “non-irritating” is a promise no lubricant can make for everyone. There is no ingredient list. It is a thick jelly in a large tube, which suits people who want a lot of it, but it costs twice as much per gram as EZ.

Why it scored well

  • Names the condom materials it suits
  • Fragrance-free (stated)
  • Brand owner’s shop

Watch-outs

  • “#1 Doctor Recommended” unsourced
  • No ingredient list
  • Twice EZ’s price per gram
Jellytime Natural Water-Based Personal Lubricant, 50 mL (Jellytime)

About ₱6.78 per mL

FDA statusRegistered medical device: “Jellytime Natural Water-Based Personal Lubricant”, CMDR-2022-00390, made in China, valid to 24 January 2027, about three months after we checked. No advisory found.
Specifications stated50 mL; key ingredients (water, hyaluronic acid, citric acid, aloe, propylene glycol); paraben-free; fragrance-free; shelf life 3 years; expiry 12 January 2029 or 1 December 2029 (the date format is not stated)
Claims“FDA approved”; hyaluronic acid “reduces inflammation”; aloe “can even help maintain vaginal flora balance”; “perfectly pH-balanced” (no pH given); “hypoallergenic”
InconsistenciesCalled “Natural”, but the slip agent is propylene glycol; key ingredients only, not a full list
SellerJellytime official shop (on Shopee since February 2022, 14.2K followers, 4.90 shop rating, 73% response). Listing 4.90 from 7,828 ratings; search shows 30K+ sold.
Price₱339 for 50 mL, about ₱6.78 per mL (17 October 2026)

Jellytime tells you more about what is inside than any other pick: its main ingredients, that it has no parabens or fragrance, a shelf life and an expiry date. It has an exact device registration and is sold by the brand’s own shop.

Its claims go too far for a lubricant: reducing inflammation and balancing vaginal flora are health claims, and “pH-balanced” means little without the number. The registration runs out on 24 January 2027, so check the FDA portal for a renewal before you buy. The WHO note below explains why the amount of propylene glycol matters; the listing does not give it.

Why it scored well

  • Lists its key ingredients
  • Paraben- and fragrance-free (stated)
  • Exact registration

Watch-outs

  • Health claims about inflammation and flora
  • Registration expires January 2027
  • No pH number despite “pH-balanced”

How to choose a personal lubricant

  • Check the condom first. With latex condoms, use water-based or silicone lubricant only; oil weakens latex. K-Y is the only pick that names latex and polyisoprene.
  • Look up the exact product in the FDA verification portal. Lubricants are medical devices; a real record has a CMDR, CMDN, MDR or DVR number with a validity date.
  • Prefer fragrance-free and paraben-free if you are prone to irritation. K-Y and Jellytime state fragrance-free; Jellytime also states paraben-free.
  • Be cautious with warming and flavoured lubes. The WHO note says warming lubricants often contain high levels of propylene glycol.
  • Avoid lubricants with nonoxynol-9 and any product that promises to cause orgasm, tighten, or treat an infection.
  • Compare price per mL or gram. In this guide it ran from about ₱3.05 per g (EZ) to ₱6.78 per mL (Jellytime) on 17 October 2026.
  • Stop using a product that stings or itches, and see a doctor if dryness, pain or irritation continues. This is general advice.

How we researched this guide

We searched the Shopee affiliate offer list for lubricant, water-based lubricant and by brand (Durex, K-Y, Okamoto, Trust) on October 17, 2026, then searched Shopee by keyword and inside brand stores, read each listing in full, and looked each product up in the medical device records and advisories of the FDA Philippines verification portal. We scored them with our published rubric: provenance and registration (25), disclosure (20), claims (20), consistency (10), seller record (15) and value (10). We did not use or test any product.

No pick reaches 90, because no listing gives its full ingredient list, pH or osmolality. We found Okamoto lubricants only from resellers and Bliss lubricants (which have device records) not on Shopee, so neither is ranked. The WHO section is general information, not medical advice. This guide has not yet been reviewed by our health content reviewer, and we have not checked the Shopee affiliate programme’s rules for this category.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best lubricant in the Philippines?

In our review Durex Play Feel scored highest (76/100): it has an exact, current FDA device registration and is sold by Reckitt, the brand owner. EZ Lubricating Jelly is the cheapest per gram.

Are lubricants FDA registered in the Philippines?

Personal lubricants are regulated as medical devices. All four picks have a device record; several best-selling lubes on Shopee do not, and some have FDA advisories.

Which lubricant is safe with condoms?

Water-based and silicone lubricants are safe with latex condoms; oil-based ones weaken latex, according to the WHO advisory note. K-Y states it is safe with latex and polyisoprene condoms.

Can I use baby oil or lotion as lubricant?

Not with latex condoms: the WHO note says latex condoms rapidly lose strength when exposed to oil-based lubricants.

What is osmolality and why does it matter?

It is how concentrated a lubricant is. The WHO note says very concentrated lubricants may damage the lining of the vagina or rectum and recommends no more than 1200 mOsm/kg. None of our picks lists it.

Which lubricant is best for vaginal dryness?

Durex Play Feel and K-Y both say they help with vaginal dryness. For dryness that lasts, especially around menopause or after childbirth, talk to a doctor.

Are flavoured or warming lubricants safe?

They are registered too (Durex has records for strawberry and warming versions), but the WHO note says warming lubricants often contain high levels of propylene glycol, which raises osmolality.

Why is SiYi not ranked?

FDA Advisories 2022-0416 and 2023-1593 warn against SiYi personal lubricants as unnotified and unregistered.

Why are the Durex lubes from some shops so expensive?

Some resellers list Durex Play with scrambled titles at ₱975 to ₱1,026 for 50 mL; the official shop price on 17 October 2026 was ₱270 to ₱330.

Is my order packaged discreetly?

The Reckitt official shop says its packages do not mention the brand or the product. Check each shop's policy.

Can lubricant cause irritation?

Yes. Preservatives such as parabens can irritate some people, and nonoxynol-9 is a known irritant. Stop using a product that stings and see a doctor if it continues.

Did you test these lubricants?

No. We read the listings, checked the shops and the FDA records, and scored what the sellers put in writing.
