Our verdict

Nutrifinds Signature Trail Mix (85/100, from ₱328) is our top pick, and DailyFix Nutty and Nice (79/100, ₱166 for 100 g) is the pick for knowing what share is nuts, fruit and chocolate. Both match their FDA food registrations exactly. The most-sold listing, Mr. Squirrel 7 in 1 (53/100), is cheaper per 100 g but promises weight loss and skin benefits, and its mix is not named in the registry.

Nuts and dried fruit are energy-dense. We skipped unbranded listings and “diabetic” mixes, and they are in the table below. This is general information, not medical advice. Anyone with a nut allergy should read the pack, not the Shopee attributes.

We searched the Shopee offer list and Shopee search for mixed nuts, trail mix and dried fruit mixes on October 19, 2026, looked each product up in the FDA food registry and advisories, and kept five. The registry lists dozens of trail mixes, but most are not on Shopee.

0 of 5

of the trail mix listings we scored say how much sugar the mix contains. Only Nutrifinds gives macronutrients (protein 8 g, carbohydrates 18 g and fat 20 g per 50 g, about 284 kcal by our arithmetic). Counted from the five listings we read on October 19, 2026.

Nuts and dried fruit: portion, sugar and allergy

These points come from NHS pages found for this guide, not from the listings, and they are general information. We have not read the pages in full.

  • Dried fruit. The NHS 5 A Day page is summarised as giving 30 g as one portion of dried fruit, and advising that dried fruit is best eaten at mealtimes, not as a between-meal snack, to reduce the risk of tooth decay.
  • Nuts. The NHS sources we found say unsalted nuts make a good snack but are high in fat, so eat them in moderation, with one leaflet giving about 25 to 30 g of plain nuts as a snack portion. They are not listed as a 5 A Day portion.
  • A mix is both. A 50 g handful of the Nutrifinds mix carries about 284 kcal by our arithmetic from its macros, so a trail mix adds up quickly if you eat it from a large bag. The DailyFix mix is 48 percent dried fruit and 14 percent chocolate drops by its own listing, so expect more sugar there than in a nut-heavy mix.
  • Allergy. These mixes contain peanuts or tree nuts. Two listings carry “Allergen: No” attributes, which is wrong. If anyone in your household has a nut allergy, read the label on the pack and ask a doctor, and do not rely on the Shopee attribute fields.
  • Claims. No nut or fruit mix on these listings has been shown to cause weight loss or better skin. We do not say that any of these products works or is “healthy”.

What the claims on these listings actually mean

ClaimWhat it coversKey exclusion
“Healthy” or “healthier choice”A marketing word. The listings give no sugar figure; nuts and dried fruit are energy-dense and dried fruit is sugary.
“Effective weight loss”, “ketogenic”, “perfect diet”A claim that eating the mix helps you lose weight. Not supported on the listing. Dried fruit is high in carbohydrate, and a calorie-dense mix does not cause weight loss by itself.
“Antioxidant, young and beautiful skin”A cosmetic-benefit claim. No evidence is cited on the listing.
“Meets the daily recommended nut intake”A claim about a recommended amount. No source or amount is given; NHS sources talk of about 25 to 30 g as a snack.
“Diabetic”, “diabetic-friendly” or “low sugar”A diet claim for people with diabetes.Dried fruit and sweet bites contain sugar. Ask a doctor or dietitian. We did not score these listings.
“Preservative-free”, “gluten-free”, “non-GMO”, “vegan”Statements about what the mix contains. No test or certificate is shown on the listing.
“Allergen: No”An attribute field on the listing.Wrong for a mix of nuts. Read the pack.
FDA registration (our wording)The product appears in the FDA food registry with a number and validity date. The registry lists products by name; a listing that does not match a name is not confirmed. Registration does not mean a claim is true.

Mixed nut and dried fruit listings we would be careful with

ProductWhat we foundOur check
Belle’s Trail Mix (₱252 to ₱829, 60,000 sold)Sold by Belle’s Pantry Essentials (Shopee-verified, since January 2020, 290,456 followers). The listing has no ingredient list or weights (only hashtags), and we found no registry entry for a Belle’s trail mix.Not scored
The Healthy Basket Trail Mix (₱274 to ₱867)The Healthy Basket is a Shopee-verified shop (since April 2017, 135,974 followers). The listing has ingredients by variant, but we found no trail mix registration, and two other Healthy Basket products (garlic powder, barley grass powder) were named in FDA advisories (2024-1669, 2024-1524).Not scored
Unbranded “7 in 1 Mixed Nuts and Fruits Daily Snacks Trail Mix” (₱79 to ₱179; up to 60,000 sold)Many Shopee-verified shops sell near-identical titles with no brand and no FDA number on the page. Not scored
“Mixed nuts cake” and “mix nuts and almond/walnuts/fruits dried” (₱88, 20,000 sold)The FDA named an “UNBRANDED Mixed Nuts Cake 10 natural seeds with a golden ratio” as an unregistered food product on 13 October 2026 (Advisory 2026-1485). We did not match a listing to that advisory, but the product type is the same and no FDA number is shown. Not scored
“Diabetic trail mix” and “superfood diabetic trail mix” (₱166 to ₱399)Sold with diabetes claims, by Picky Farm and by shops opened in September and November 2024 (Super Nature Food, Green Tree Essentials). A dried-fruit mix is not a diabetic food. Not scored
Other Mr. Squirrel shops and Mr. Squirrel 4 in 1 and 500 g can listings (up to ₱1,500)The brand is sold through several shops at very different prices, from ₱79 to ₱1,500 on the same listing.See the Mr. Squirrel pick
Dingdong Snack Mix and S&R Supergarlic Mix Corn and NutsSalty corn and nut snack mixes, not a nut and fruit mix. We found a registration for “Dingdong Snack Mix with Chips and Curls”, not for a mixed nuts product.Outside this guide
Three Squirrels, Ganyuan, Sam’s and other imported “daily nuts” (offer list)Cross-border listings from sellers we did not identify, with single-serve packs. Not scored
Keto trail mixes (for example PEP’D, 60 g keto packs)Sold with keto and low-carb claims; we did not read them. Not scored
Read the shop name, the pack’s FDA number and the allergen line before buying. “Not scored” means we could not verify, not that the product is unsafe.

FDA statusFood registration FR-4000015715197, “Signature Trail Mix”, brand Nutrifinds, Nutrifinds Enterprise, valid to 21 May 2031. No advisory found.
Ingredients and nutrition statedAlmonds, cashews, peanuts, walnuts, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, goji berries, raisins, cranberries. Serving 50 g: protein 8 g, carbohydrates 18 g, fat 20 g. By our arithmetic (4, 4 and 9 kcal per gram) that is about 284 kcal per 50 g.
Claims“Make a healthy choice!”; “drop those sugary sweets, questionable supplements, and junk foods”.
InconsistenciesNo sugar, fibre or calorie figure. No allergen statement although peanuts and tree nuts are listed. “Trial Mix” typo. One expiry date (1 January 2028) for every size.
SellerNutrifinds (Shopee-verified), on Shopee since 2 January 2017, 441,837 followers, shop rating 4.95. This listing: 4.9 stars from 13,845 ratings, 40,000 sold.
Price₱328 for 250 g (₱131.20 per 100 g, ₱65.60 per 50 g serving), ₱498 for 500 g, ₱858 for 1 kg (₱85.80 per 100 g), checked October 19, 2026.

It ranks first because the registry name matches the product exactly, with a registration valid to 2031, and because it is the only listing with a serving size and macronutrients. The shop has sold it since 2017 and the listing has 13,845 ratings.

Fifty grams carries about 284 kcal by our arithmetic, mostly from fat, as you would expect from nuts. The listing does not say how much sugar the fruit adds, and it has no allergen statement despite peanuts and tree nuts. The 1 kg size is far cheaper per 100 g.

Why it scored well

  • Exact FDA registry match, valid to 2031
  • Serving size and macros per 50 g
  • Full ingredient list; long-standing verified shop

Watch-outs

  • No sugar or calorie figure on the listing
  • No allergen statement
  • Promotional wording (“drop those sugary sweets”)

SellerFly Ace Corporation (official store), on Shopee since 29 June 2020, 262,563 followers, shop rating 4.92. This listing: 4.9 stars from 796 ratings, 3,000 sold.
Price₱166 for 100 g (₱166 per 100 g), ₱362 for 250 g (₱145 per 100 g), checked October 19, 2026.

It is the only listing that says what share of the mix is nuts, fruit and chocolate, and the maker sells it through its own official store. The registry name matches the product, valid to 2031.

Almost half of this mix is dried fruit and 14 percent is chocolate drops, so it is sweeter than the others. It is also the most expensive per 100 g at the small size.

Why it scored well

  • Share of nuts, fruit and chocolate stated
  • Exact FDA registry match, valid to 2031
  • Official store

Watch-outs

  • About half fruit and 14% chocolate drops
  • No nutrition facts, sugar figure or allergen statement
  • Highest price per 100 g at the 100 g size

Ingredients and nutrition statedCashews 30%, almonds 30%, cranberries 15%, raisins 15%, macadamias 10%. Product of Vietnam. No nutrition facts.
Claims“Healthy trail mix”; “ready to eat”.
InconsistenciesThe expiry-date attribute reads 07/13/2026, which had already passed on the date we checked. No sugar figure.
SellerBITSANDPIECESBYJC Online Shop (Shopee-verified reseller), on Shopee since 7 November 2016, 90,850 followers, shop rating 4.96. This listing: 5.0 stars from 159 ratings, 483 sold.
Price₱1,425 for 1 kg, about ₱142.50 per 100 g, checked October 19, 2026.

The composition on the listing matches the registered product, a short ingredient list with percentages, and the listing says plainly that it contains cashews and almonds and may contain traces of other tree nuts. Seventy percent of the mix is nuts.

The listing shows an expiry date that has already passed, so ask the shop for the date on the pack before you buy. The shop is a reseller of the brand, and a kilo at ₱1,425 is a large outlay.

Why it scored well

  • Registered composition matches the listing
  • Allergen information stated
  • Percentages for each ingredient

Watch-outs

  • Expiry attribute already passed (07/13/2026)
  • Reseller, not the brand
  • Large 1 kg pack at a high price per 100 g

About ₱399

FDA statusThe registry lists “Deluxe Trail Mixed Nuts” under brand Dynamic Greenthumb (FR-2591648, valid to 4 October 2031) and “Protein Trail Mixed Nuts” under brand Picky Farm (FR-2441977 and FR-2607805, valid to 2031). The listing name is not an exact match, and its recipe cannot be matched to a registered one. No advisory found.
Ingredients and nutrition statedAlmonds, walnuts, pumpkin seeds, roasted peanut, roasted cashew, raisins, dried cranberries, kiwi. No percentages or nutrition facts.
ClaimsBenefit text for each ingredient; attributes “Healthier Choice”, “Cholesterol Free”, “Gluten Free”, “GMO Free”.
InconsistenciesThe attributes say “Allergen: No” for a mix of peanuts and tree nuts. The same shop sells “diabetic” trail mixes.
SellerPicky Farm Sweets & Spices (Shopee-verified), on Shopee since 22 July 2018, 79,133 followers, shop rating 4.87. This listing: 4.8 stars from 11,208 ratings, 30,000 sold.
Price₱399 for 500 g (₱79.80 per 100 g), ₱249 for 250 g (₱99.60 per 100 g), ₱189 for 180 g, checked October 19, 2026.

It is cheaper per 100 g than the registered picks above and has 11,208 ratings from a shop that has sold since 2018. The brand has registered trail mixed nuts.

We could not match this listing to a registered recipe, and “Allergen: No” on a product made of peanuts and tree nuts is wrong. If you or a family member has a nut allergy, do not rely on that field.

Why it scored well

  • Low price per 100 g at 500 g
  • Brand has registered trail mixed nuts valid to 2031
  • 11,208 ratings

Watch-outs

  • “Allergen: No” on a nut mix
  • Listing name and recipe not matched to the registry
  • Same shop sells “diabetic” mixes

Brand-level FDA match

About ₱399

FDA statusMr. Squirrel has registered “Mixed Nuts” (FR-4000014715848 valid to 10 March 2032 and two others) and “Mixed Dried Fruits” (FR-4000014737527 valid to 11 August 2031). No registry entry names a “7 in 1” mix, so the match is at brand level. FDA advisories name other Mr. Squirrel products as unregistered (2026-1088, 2026-1084, 2026-0743).
Ingredients and nutrition statedCashews, almonds, walnuts, pumpkin seeds, blackcurrants, raisins and dried cranberries; 500 g can; shelf life 24 months. No percentages or nutrition facts.
Claims“Effective weight loss”; “antioxidant, young and beautiful skin”; “ketogenic menu, perfect diet”; “meets the daily recommended nut intake”; “preservative-free”.
Inconsistencies“Allergen: No” for a nut mix. The expiry is given as 04/30/2031, as 240 days and as 24 months. The text says “cans not included” while the variants are cans. Listing prices run from ₱79 to ₱669.
SellerMr.Squirrel-Snack Lovers (Shopee-verified), on Shopee since 8 June 2022, 217,194 followers, shop rating 4.75. This listing: 4.7 stars from 29,987 ratings, 100,000 sold.
Price₱399 for the 500 g can (₱79.80 per 100 g), ₱229 for 250 g (₱91.60 per 100 g), checked October 19, 2026.

It is the most-sold listing in this guide (100,000), and the brand has registered mixed nuts and mixed dried fruits. The price per 100 g at 500 g is the lowest of the five.

It scores lowest because the listing promises weight loss, youthful skin and a “perfect diet”, which no snack listing can support, and because the registry does not name this 7-in-1 mix. The brand has other products named in FDA advisories, so check the pack for the FDA number.

Why it scored well

  • Lowest price per 100 g at the 500 g size
  • Brand has registered mixed nuts and dried fruits
  • Short ingredient list (4 nuts, 3 fruits)

Watch-outs

  • Weight-loss and “youthful skin” claims
  • 7-in-1 mix not named in the registry; other products in FDA advisories
  • “Allergen: No” and three different expiry statements

How to choose and enjoy mixed nuts and dried fruit

  • Look for the FDA number (FR-) on the pack or listing, and search the exact product name at the FDA portal.
  • Prefer a listing that shows percentages or a nutrition table. A mix that is half dried fruit is sweeter than one that is mostly nuts.
  • Check the allergen line on the pack. Do not trust a Shopee “Allergen: No” attribute on a nut mix.
  • Measure a portion rather than eating from the bag: NHS sources give about 25 to 30 g of nuts as a snack and 30 g as a portion of dried fruit. This is general advice.
  • Eat dried fruit with a meal, as the NHS advises, to be kinder to teeth.
  • Compare price per 100 g. Big packs are much cheaper per 100 g, but check the expiry date and keep the pack sealed.
  • Ignore weight-loss, “diabetic” and skin claims on a snack listing. Ask a doctor or dietitian about your own diet.

How we researched this guide

We searched the Shopee affiliate offer list and Shopee search for mixed nuts, trail mix and nut and dried fruit mixes on October 19, 2026, widened the search by brand name (Nutrifinds, DailyFix, Founders, Mr. Squirrel, Belle’s, The Healthy Basket and others), checked each shop’s identity and joining date, and read the listing text of each finalist. We looked each product up in the FDA Philippines verification portal (food registry and advisories) and recorded the registration number and validity. We scored them with our published rubric: provenance and registration (25), disclosure (20), claims (20), consistency (10), seller record (15) and value (10). We did not taste or test any product.

The portal lookup returns only the first matches for a word, so “not found” means we did not see it. The NHS points were summarised from search results and not read in full. This guide has not yet been reviewed by our health content reviewer, and we have not checked the Shopee affiliate programme’s rules for this category.

Frequently asked questions

Are these trail mixes FDA registered?

Nutrifinds, DailyFix and Founders match their FDA food registrations exactly. Picky Farm and Mr. Squirrel match only at brand or partial level. Check the FDA number on the pack.

How much sugar is in these mixes?

None of the five listings says. Nutrifinds gives protein, carbohydrates and fat per 50 g but not sugar. A mix with half dried fruit and chocolate drops, like DailyFix, will be sweeter.

How many calories are in a handful?

Only Nutrifinds gives figures. Its macros per 50 g work out to about 284 kcal by our arithmetic (4, 4 and 9 kcal per gram). We did not compute the others because their listings show no nutrition facts.

How much should I eat?

The NHS sources we found give about 25 to 30 g of plain nuts as a snack and 30 g as a portion of dried fruit. For personal advice ask a doctor or dietitian.

Is trail mix good for weight loss?

We cannot say that any product causes weight loss. Nuts and dried fruit are energy-dense, so portions matter. The weight-loss claim on the Mr. Squirrel listing has no support.

Is trail mix suitable for diabetes?

Dried fruit and sweet bites contain sugar. We did not score "diabetic" mixes. Ask a doctor or dietitian.

What about nut allergy?

These mixes contain peanuts or tree nuts. Two listings show "Allergen: No", which is wrong. Read the pack and ask a doctor. Only Founders states allergen information on its listing.

Why does the expiry date on the Founders listing matter?

The listing shows 07/13/2026, which has passed. Ask the shop for the date on the pack before you buy.

Why is the Mr. Squirrel ranked last?

Its listing promises weight loss, youthful skin and a "perfect diet", gives three different expiry statements and says "Allergen: No". The 7-in-1 mix is not named in the registry.

Which is cheapest per 100 g?

The 500 g Mr. Squirrel can and the 500 g Picky Farm pack, both about ₱79.80 per 100 g. Nutrifinds at 1 kg is about ₱85.80 per 100 g.

Why not include Belle's or The Healthy Basket?

We found no registry entry for their trail mixes and the Belle's listing gives no ingredients. Not scored means unverified, not unsafe.

Can children eat trail mix?

Nuts and allergy matter for children. Ask your child's doctor; this guide does not give advice for children.
