Our verdict
Vantelin Thumb Armor (77/100, ₱525) is our top pick: an exact FDA notification, Watsons’ own store and the only listing that explains how the support is built. The Vantelin Wrist Support (69, ₱630) matches the register just as exactly but its listing is one line. For knees, Shield ZL6760 (68, ₱479.50 per knee) is the best documented and ZL7640 (67, ₱259) is the cheapest. We found no notification for the arthritis compression gloves that dominate Shopee.
A support may make a joint feel steadier, and none of these listings shows evidence that it treats or prevents arthritis. If a joint is swollen, hot, locked or keeps giving way, or if pain wakes you at night, see a doctor before you rely on a support. This is general information, not medical advice. We scored what each seller states and what the FDA register shows; we did not use or test any support.
We searched Shopee for arthritis gloves, compression gloves, knee supports, wrist and thumb supports and finger splints on October 27, 2026, read each finalist listing and shop record, and looked every brand up in the FDA Philippines medical device notification list. Only supports with a matching notification and an official or long-standing store were ranked. The best-selling arthritis gloves are unbranded, so they went into the “careful with” table. Pickleball-specific knee supports are in our pickleball knee brace guide; this guide ranks different products.
₱259 to ₱959
Price of the four ranked supports on 27 October 2026, from our listing reads: Shield ZL7640 ₱259 per knee, Vantelin Thumb Armor ₱525, Vantelin Wrist ₱630 and Shield ZL6760 ₱959 for a pair (₱479.50 per knee).

What a support can and cannot do
These points are general information, not medical advice.
- A knee, wrist or thumb support gives compression or restricts movement so the joint feels steadier. None of the listings shows evidence that a support treats arthritis, and a support does not replace a doctor’s assessment.
- Compression gloves and sleeves are different from a splint. A rigid or semi-rigid splint (such as a thumb spica) is meant to limit movement and, in the Tynor listing we read, should be used under a doctor’s guidance.
- A support that is too tight can cause numbness, swelling or skin marks, and one that is too loose does nothing. Use the size chart and follow the maker’s care steps.
- See a doctor for a joint that is swollen, hot, deformed, locks or gives way, or for pain that wakes you at night, and before you buy a rigid brace for a diagnosed condition.
What the FDA record means for supports
These points are from the FDA Philippines verification portal.
- In the Philippines, knee, wrist and thumb supports are notified as medical devices (CDRRHR-CMDN numbers) with a validity date. A notification means the device is on record, not that the FDA tested it or approved its claims.
- The portal shows product names, not model numbers. For Vantelin the name equals the listing name; for Shield the brand’s knee supports are notified but the ZL6760 and ZL7640 model numbers are not named, so those are brand-level matches.
- We found no notification for compression arthritis gloves, copper gloves or magnetic gloves. The portal returns only the first matches for a name, so a missing entry is not proof that none exists.
- Some records are about to end. Three 3M Futuro knee support notifications we found end between 28 October and 22 November 2026, so we did not rank them; check the portal for a renewal.
What the claims on these listings actually mean
| Claim | What it covers | What the listing does not say |
|---|---|---|
| “Alleviating discomfort of the thumb” (Vantelin) | A comfort claim for the taping structure | Any study or measurement |
| “Intended for daily joint discomfort” (Vantelin) | The product’s purpose in mild terms | Which condition or how it is meant to be worn |
| “Compression technology to promote blood flow for recovery” (Shield) | A compression claim | Any source; blood flow is not measured |
| “Arthritis relief” and “rheumatoid” on gloves | A disease name in the title | A notification or any evidence; these are unbranded |
| “Authentic Tynor, FDA-registered” (USMeds) | A brand and registration claim | That the printed number is for the product sold |
| “Tourmaline self-heating” knee pads | A heat and magnet claim | Any record or evidence |
Joint support listings we would be careful with
| Product | What we found | Our check |
|---|---|---|
| Arthritis compression gloves (Howstore.ph ₱89 to ₱128; worthdefence.ph ₱110 to ₱172; copper and magnetic gloves ₱145 to ₱260; up to 40,000 sold) | Unbranded gloves with “arthritis” or “rheumatoid” in the title. We found no medical device notification and no brand to look up. | Not scored: no brand, no record |
| Tynor knee sleeve and thumb splint (USMeds, ₱590 to ₱1,610) | Tynor is notified in the Philippines (for example the Thumb Spica Splint to 2031), but this shop opened in July 2025 with 87 followers, and the knee sleeve listing prints the number for a different product (“Tynor Knee Cap Pair”). | Not scored: new shop, name mismatch |
| 3M Futuro knee, wrist and thumb supports (₱650 to ₱1,250) | A known brand with notifications that end between 28 October and 22 November 2026 for the knee supports we found. | Not scored: records about to end; check for renewal |
| Self-heating tourmaline knee pads (₱48 to ₱107, up to 10,000 sold) | Unbranded pads marketed “for arthritis”, with heat and magnet claims. | Not scored: no brand, no record |
| Vantelin “Direct from Japan” and Kowa Official Store listings (₱595 to ₱792) | Imported versions or a store that opened in 2025 with 174 followers. | Not scored: cross-border or new shop |
| Hinged and unloader knee braces (₱1,088 to ₱1,335) | Rigid braces for diagnosed conditions that need a doctor’s advice; no notification found by brand in our checks. | Not ranked: needs a clinician |
How to choose a joint support from these listings
For knee supports for sport, see our pickleball knee brace guide; for socks that compress the legs, see our compression socks guide.
- Want a thumb or hand support from a named brand: Vantelin Thumb Armor.
- Want a wrist support from the same store: Vantelin Wrist Support, knowing the listing says very little.
- Want a knee sleeve with sizes and warnings: Shield ZL6760.
- Want the lowest price for a knee sleeve: Shield ZL7640.
- Check the size chart before you order, and ask a doctor before you buy a rigid brace.
General advice, not from the sources above: do not wear a support so tight that your fingers or toes tingle or change colour, take it off if the skin is irritated, and wash it as the maker says. Exercises and activity advice for joint problems belong with your doctor or a physiotherapist.

The registry names the brand’s knee supports but not the ZL6760 model, and the “promotes blood flow for recovery” line has no source. It is sold as a pair, so check whether you need one or two.

- Buy from an official store: all four ranked listings are from Watsons or 360 Sports.
- Look up the product name on the FDA portal and say plainly when only the brand matches.
- Check the size chart and what is sold: one piece or a pair.
- Avoid unbranded gloves and pads that put “arthritis” in the title.
- Check any notification end date, such as the 3M Futuro records ending in November 2026.
- See a doctor for swelling, heat, locking or night pain before you rely on a support.
How we researched this guide
We searched Shopee for arthritis gloves, compression gloves, knee support for arthritis, Tynor, Futuro, wrist and thumb supports and finger splints on October 27, 2026 and read each finalist listing and shop record through Shopee. We looked each brand up in the FDA Philippines verification portal (medical device notifications and advisories) and recorded the numbers and validity dates. We scored each product with our published rubric: provenance and notification (25), disclosure (20), claims (20), consistency (10), seller record (15) and value (10). We did not use or test any support.
This guide is general information, not medical advice. The portal shows product names, not model numbers, so Shield matches are at brand level. We did not look up every brand on Shopee and we could not verify any seller’s stock, expiry or packaging. This guide has not yet been reviewed by our health content reviewer, and we have not checked the Shopee affiliate programme’s rules for this category.
Frequently asked questions
Do arthritis gloves work?
We cannot say. The listings describe compression and "relief", but none shows a study, and the best-selling gloves are unbranded with no notification we could find. Ask your doctor.
Are knee and wrist supports FDA registered in the Philippines?
They are notified as medical devices (CDRRHR-CMDN numbers). Vantelin's wrist support and thumb armor match the register by name; Shield matches at brand level.
Which support is cheapest?
Shield ZL7640 at ₱259 per knee on 27 October 2026, then Shield ZL6760 at ₱479.50 per knee.
Is a splint the same as a support?
No. A rigid or semi-rigid splint limits movement and is usually used under a doctor's guidance. A sleeve gives light compression.
Why not rank 3M Futuro?
The Futuro knee support notifications we found end between 28 October and 22 November 2026. Check the portal for a renewal.
Can a support treat arthritis?
None of these listings shows evidence that it does. A support may make a joint feel steadier.
Did you test these supports?
No. We read the listings, checked the shops and the FDA portal, and scored what the sellers put in writing.
