Our verdict

Cottoncare Breastmilk Storage Bags (76/100, ₱124 for 30) have the best listing, and Lansinoh HPA Lanolin Nipple Cream (75/100, ₱360 for 10 ml) is the only product here whose exact name matches an FDA record. Among pumps, the Horigen DecentGo D6 (65/100, ₱2,379) states the most.

No listing reached 90, and we found no FDA record for any breast pump brand, so every pump is ranked on its brand and store, not on a registration. This guide covers products for the mother only: it does not cover feeding bottles, teats, pacifiers or formula, or any medicine or supplement said to raise milk supply. This is general information, not medical advice; for pain, low supply or a baby who is not feeding well, see a doctor or a lactation nurse.

We searched Shopee for breast pumps, nipple cream, nursing pads and milk storage bags on October 30, 2026, read the listings from Mall stores and long-standing shops, and looked each brand up in the FDA Philippines registry and its advisories.

4 days

is how long the US CDC says freshly expressed breast milk keeps in the refrigerator (up to 4 hours at room temperature; freezer about 6 months is best, up to 12 months acceptable). None of the six listings states any storage time. Source: CDC breast milk storage guidance, read 30 October 2026.

Storing expressed milk: what the CDC says

These points come from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s page on breast milk storage and preparation, as summarised in a search result; the CDC adapts the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine’s protocol. They are general information, not medical advice.

  • Freshly expressed milk keeps up to 4 hours at room temperature (77°F or colder), up to 4 days in the refrigerator, and in the freezer about 6 months is best and up to 12 months is acceptable.
  • Freeze it early. If you do not think you will use the milk within 4 days, freeze it right away.
  • Thawed milk should be used within 24 hours in the refrigerator, counted from when it is completely thawed. Once it is at room temperature or warmed, use it within 2 hours. Never refreeze thawed milk.
  • Never heat or thaw milk in a microwave, which can destroy nutrients and create hot spots. Leftover milk from a feed should be used within 2 hours, then discarded.
  • Keep milk out of the door of the refrigerator or freezer, where the temperature changes. The CDC gives 40°F (4°C) or below for the fridge and 0°F (-18°C) or below for the freezer.
  • What the listings say: only the Cottoncare listing gives filling and thawing steps. Nothing on the other five listings gives a storage time.

FDA statusThe brand “Cottoncare” holds a Toys and Childcare Articles notification by Cotton Central Inc., valid to 16 April 2027. The record lists the brand, not individual products, so the match is at brand level. No advisory found
Specifications stated30 bags of 200 mL; BPA-free food-grade material; “triple sterilized”; dual-layer, extra thick; double zipper; freezer-safe; self-standing
Claims“Triple sterilized for extra peace of mind”; “BPA-free”; “just the way nature made it”
MissingHow long milk keeps in the fridge or freezer, the sterilisation method, bag thickness
Inconsistencies“Custom Product = Yes” on a standard pack
SellerCotton Central (Shopee Mall): joined 2020, 343,923 followers, 96% response; 4.9 stars from 3,996 ratings on this listing, 10K+ sold
Price₱124 for 30 bags, ₱4.13 a bag

The only storage bag whose listing walks through filling, freezing and thawing: freeze right after filling, do not overfill, never refreeze thawed milk, thaw in the fridge or lukewarm water and never in a microwave or boiling water. Those steps broadly match what the US CDC says, and the shop is a Mall store with almost 4,000 ratings.

It gives no storage times, so look them up (see the CDC figures below). “Triple sterilized” is the maker’s word with no method named, and the notification is for the brand, not for these bags.

Why it scored well

  • Filling and thawing steps on the listing
  • Mall store; brand notification valid to April 2027
  • ₱4.13 a bag

Watch-outs

  • No fridge or freezer times stated
  • “Triple sterilized” with no method
  • Notification is brand-level

Only exact FDA match; 10 ml tube is the dearest per ml

FDA status“Lansinoh HPA Lanolin Nipple Cream (10ml)” NN-1000016404235, Richwell Phils. Inc., valid to 16 July 2027. The 40 ml size is NN-1000015511851, valid to 31 December 2026. Advisory 2022-0812 names a different item, “Lansinoh Lanolin Minis Nipple Cream”; none names this one. The FDA notifies cosmetics; it does not approve them
Specifications statedOne natural ingredient (lanolin); no petroleum, parabens, fragrance or taste; “no need to remove before breastfeeding”; 10 ml
Claims“100% natural and safe for baby”, “dermatologically tested”, “doctor recommended”, “ultra-pure and hypoallergenic”, “ethically sourced”, “certified climate neutral”

Price₱360 for 10 ml, ₱36.00 per ml (the 40 ml tube is ₱630, ₱15.75 per ml)

The only product here whose exact name matches an FDA record, from a Mall store, with a single named type of ingredient. The 40 ml tube works out at less than half the price per ml, but its registration runs out on 31 December 2026, so ask the shop about stock before buying it.

Lanolin comes from sheep wool, so people with a wool allergy should ask their doctor first. The claims “natural”, “doctor recommended” and “hypoallergenic” are the maker’s words with no study named. Nipple pain that does not settle should be checked by a doctor or lactation nurse.

Why it scored well

  • Exact FDA record, valid to July 2027
  • Mall store, 1,008 ratings
  • Single ingredient, no fragrance

Watch-outs

  • ₱36 per ml for the 10 ml tube
  • No directions on the listing
  • 40 ml registration ends 31 Dec 2026

SellerLansinoh PH (regular shop): joined October 2021, 13,604 followers, 100% response; 4.8 stars from 157 ratings on this listing, 915 sold. Pigeon PH (Mall) lists a 24-pad pack at the same price
Price₱270 for 24 pads, ₱11.25 a pad

A well-known brand with a plain, specific listing: fragrance-free, individually wrapped, the pad count stated. The Mall store Pigeon PH sells the same pack at the same price, so choose that one if you prefer a Mall seller.

Nursing pads are a recurring cost, and the “20 times its weight” figure has no test behind it. Pad size is not given, so check the cup size you need.

Why it scored well

  • Fragrance-free and individually wrapped
  • Pad count and material stated
  • Same price at a Mall store

Watch-outs

  • No size or thickness stated
  • “20 times its weight” has no test named

Claims“Will maintain the ability of lactation”; “painless” wording in related listings
MissingSuction strength (mmHg), battery run time, cycles per minute, how to clean and sterilise, warranty
SellerHorigen official Store (Shopee Mall): joined 2020, 72,472 followers, 100% response; 4.9 stars from 975 ratings on this listing, 3K+ sold
Price₱2,379 for a double set with two cups

The listing gives more of the numbers you would want than the other pumps: modes and levels, cup size, four insert sizes, noise, weight and battery. It is sold by the brand’s official Mall store.

It gives no suction strength, so you cannot compare it with other pumps, and it has no cleaning instructions. “Will maintain the ability of lactation” is a function claim with no evidence on the page. Choosing the right flange size matters for comfort; ask a lactation nurse.

Why it scored well

  • Many specifications stated
  • Brand’s official Mall store
  • Four insert sizes included

Watch-outs

  • No suction figure or battery run time
  • No cleaning instructions or warranty
  • No FDA record found by brand

Price₱18,795

A well-known pump brand from a baby store that has sold on Shopee since 2018, with a clear list of what the S1 Pro adds over the S1+. If you want a closed-system double pump, this is the one in our search that matches that description.

It is the dearest by far, no registry record turned up, “hospital grade” has no standard behind it, and only 27 buyers rated this listing. Price check before you buy; we did not vet the cheaper shops.

Why it scored well

  • Clear specification list
  • Closed system stated
  • Seller since 2018

SellerDr.Isla PH (Shopee Mall): joined December 2022, 440,422 followers, 100% response; 4.9 stars from 14,047 ratings on this listing, 40K+ sold
Price₱649 to ₱849 for a single pump

A low price and 40,000 sold, from a Mall store with 14,047 ratings on this listing. It is a single pump, so it empties one breast at a time.

The listing says little about performance: no suction strength, no modes or levels, no battery run time and no warranty. “Silent” and “strong suction” have no figure behind them. It is a budget buy.

Why it scored well

  • Low price (₱649 to ₱849)
  • Mall store, 14,047 ratings
  • Power and battery stated

Watch-outs

  • No suction figure or modes
  • No cleaning instructions or warranty
  • No FDA record found; single pump only

How to choose breastfeeding support products

  • Start with help, not a product. Pain, low supply or a baby who is not feeding well is a reason to see a doctor or a lactation nurse. A pump or a cream is not a cure.
  • For nipple cream, check the exact name and size in the FDA verification portal. The 10 ml and 40 ml Lansinoh tubes are registered; a “mini” is the subject of an advisory.
  • For a pump, compare suction strength, battery run time, noise and how many parts you have to wash. No listing here states all four. Ask the shop before you buy.
  • Flange size matters. A badly fitting flange can hurt. Ask a lactation nurse to help you measure; the Horigen and Spectra listings include several sizes.
  • Wash and dry every part that touches milk. The CDC has a page on cleaning infant feeding items; our bottle and nipple cleanser guide covers the soap.
  • For storage bags, choose a double zipper, label with the date, do not overfill, and follow the storage times in the CDC section above.
  • Nursing pads are a running cost. Compare the price per pad, and ask whether the pack is fragrance-free if your skin is sensitive.
  • Be wary of “FDA approved” and “hospital grade”. Neither is something FDA Philippines issues for pumps.

How we researched this guide

We searched the Shopee affiliate offer list and Shopee search for breast pumps, nipple cream, nursing pads and milk storage bags on October 30, 2026, then searched by brand (Lansinoh, Spectra, Horigen, Momcozy, Dr.isla, Cottoncare, Moose Gear Baby) and checked each brand’s shop. We identified each shop (Mall status, year joined, followers, ratings, response rate), read the full listings and looked each brand up in the FDA Philippines verification portal, including advisories. We scored six with our published rubric: provenance and registration (25), disclosure (20), claims (20), consistency (10), seller record (15) and value (10). Where no registry record exists, provenance rests on the brand and the store and scores lower than an exact match. We did not use or test any product.

The portal search returns only the first matches for a word, and breast pumps and storage bags are listed there as childcare articles without brand names, so a pump we list as “no record found” may be notified under a name we could not search. Ask the shop for the notification or registration number. The CDC points are from a search summary, not read from the full page. This is general information, not medical advice. This guide has not yet been reviewed by our health content reviewer, and we have not checked the Shopee affiliate programme’s rules for this category.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best breast pump in the Philippines?

We could not match any pump brand to an FDA Philippines record, so we rank on listing detail and store. The Horigen DecentGo D6 (65/100, ₱2,379) states the most; the Dr.isla EB11 (58/100, ₱649) is a low-priced option with 40K+ sold.

Is lanolin nipple cream safe for the baby?

The Lansinoh listing says you do not need to remove it before breastfeeding. That is the maker's statement; ask your doctor or lactation nurse. People with a wool allergy should ask first, because lanolin comes from sheep wool.

Is the Lansinoh cream FDA approved?

It is notified: FDA Philippines notifies cosmetics, it does not approve them. The 10 ml tube is NN-1000016404235, valid to 16 July 2027, and the 40 ml tube is NN-1000015511851, valid to 31 December 2026.

How long can I keep pumped milk?

The US CDC says up to 4 hours at room temperature, up to 4 days in the refrigerator, and in the freezer about 6 months is best and up to 12 months is acceptable. Never refreeze thawed milk.

Can I thaw breast milk in the microwave?

No. The CDC says never to thaw or heat breast milk in a microwave. Thaw in the refrigerator or in lukewarm water.

What does "hospital grade" mean on a pump?

No standard is named on any listing we read. The listings give no suction strength in mmHg, so you cannot check the phrase.

Which flange size should I buy?

It depends on you. Ask a lactation nurse to help you measure; the Horigen D6 comes with four sizes and the Spectra S1 Pro lists 20 to 32 mm.

Do these products make more milk?

None of them claims to, and we did not review any supplement or medicine for milk supply. Low supply is a reason to see a doctor or a lactation nurse.

Why does this guide not include bottles and teats?

Feeding bottles, teats and formula are covered by the Milk Code and are outside our scope. We cover products for the mother only.

Are Spectra pumps cheaper elsewhere?

Other shops list the S1 Pro at ₱12,200 to ₱13,100, but we did not vet them and none is marked official. Check the shop's ratings and return policy.

How many nursing pads will I need?

It varies. At ₱11.25 a pad, changing two a day for a month costs about ₱675; this is arithmetic on the listing price, not advice on how often to change.

Can I reuse a milk storage bag?

The listings call the bags disposable, and the Cottoncare steps do not mention reuse. Follow the pack's instructions.
