Our verdict
DERMAID Unscented Tawas Roll On (91/100, ₱119) has the most complete listing; Rexona Men Ice Cool (88/100) is the best-documented antiperspirant; and Milcu Unscented (85/100, ₱84) is the cheapest per ml. If you want no aluminium salt at all, Human Nature (82/100) is the honest choice: it says plainly it will not stop sweat.
All six picks are notified with FDA Philippines under their product names. We left out a ₱132 “Driclor” sold at about an eighth of the official price, a deodorant that calls itself an antiperspirant while claiming to be aluminium-free, and listings with contradictory labels. Driclor itself is sold as a treatment for excessive sweating; ask a doctor about that. This is general information, not medical advice.
We searched the Shopee affiliate offer list and Shopee search for deodorants and antiperspirants on October 17, 2026, read the listings from brand and Mall stores, and looked each one up in the FDA Philippines cosmetic notification list. We kept products notified under their own name and sold by the brand or an official retailer.

How much cheaper a “Driclor” listing from a non-official shop (₱132 for 20 ml) is than the official Haleon store’s price (₱1,999 for two, about ₱1,000 each), on 17 October 2026.

Deodorant, antiperspirant or tawas: what the difference is
General information from the product listings and the sources named, not medical advice.
| Type | How it works | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| Antiperspirant | An aluminium salt (such as aluminum chlorohydrate) forms a temporary plug in the sweat duct, so less sweat reaches the skin | Reduces sweat and odour; Rexona, Milcu, Dove Sensitive and Secret are antiperspirants |
| Deodorant | Masks or reduces odour, often with fragrance or odour-neutralising ingredients | You still sweat; Human Nature is a deodorant with no aluminium salt |
| Tawas (potassium alum) | A mineral salt used as a deodorant for generations in the Philippines | Potassium alum is itself an aluminium salt, so “natural mineral” does not mean aluminium-free |
| Clinical-strength (aluminium chloride) | A stronger salt, usually applied at night | Driclor is marketed for excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis); ask a doctor if sweating affects daily life |
- How antiperspirants work. The US National Cancer Institute explains that the aluminium-based active ingredients “form a temporary plug” within the sweat duct (NCI fact sheet).
- Aluminium and breast cancer. The same NCI fact sheet says no scientific evidence links the use of these products to the development of breast cancer, while noting that the research is limited.
- Label warnings in the US. US rules require antiperspirant labels to say: do not use on broken skin; stop use if rash or irritation occurs; ask a doctor before use if you have kidney disease (21 CFR 350.50). Among our picks, only the Rexona and Dermaid listings give a skin warning.
- “Aluminium-free” is about the active. A deodorant without an aluminium salt will not reduce sweating. A product that calls itself an antiperspirant and also “free of aluminum” is contradicting itself.
What the claims on these listings actually mean
| Claim | What it covers | Key exclusion |
|---|---|---|
| “72H” or “48 hour protection” | The maker’s claim for how long it lasts | No listing names the test behind it; heat, sweat and activity change it |
| “Natural”, “100% natural”, “mineral” | Marketing words | No standard behind them; tawas is natural and is an aluminium salt |
| “Aluminum-free” | No aluminium salt in the formula | True of Human Nature; it means the product will not stop sweat |
| “Whitening”, “brightening”, “lighten underarms” | A cosmetic whitening claim | Says nothing about odour or sweat; we did not score it as a benefit |
| “Hypoallergenic”, “non-irritating” | A description | No product suits everyone; patch-test if your skin reacts |
| “Dermatologically and clinically tested” (Nivea listing) | A testing claim | No test, standard or result named |
| “For the treatment of hyperhidrosis” (Driclor) | A treatment claim | A medical condition; see a doctor rather than self-treating |
| “Non-chemical”, “organic” fields (Nivea listing) | Listing attributes | Every deodorant is made of chemicals; these fields contradict the ingredient-based product |
Deodorant listings we would be careful with
| Product | What we found | Our check |
|---|---|---|
| “DRICLOR” roll-on, ₱132 to ₱135 (hotlistings_ph, shown as Mainland China, up to 100K sold) | About an eighth of the price at Haleon’s official store; the shop opened in 2024 and answers 0% of chats. Driclor is notified in the Philippines to Haleon. | Do not buy (price far below official) |
| Driclor Anti-Perspirant 20 ml, ₱1,999 for two (Haleon PH Official Store) | Genuine and notified as a cosmetic (NN-1000013316470), but sold “for the treatment of hyperhidrosis”, a medical condition. Apply at night and wash off in the morning, per the listing. | Outside this guide (ask a doctor) |
| Old Spice Anti Perspirant Deodorant Dry Cream High Endurance Pure Sport, ₱227 (P&G Beauty Official Store) | Called an antiperspirant in the title but “Free of Aluminum” in the text; fields say both “Fragrance-Free” and a citrus scent, and “Non-Chemical”. We found no notification for “Pure Sport”. | Not scored (contradictions) |
| NIVEA Extra Brightening Anti-Perspirant Roll-on, B1T1 ₱213 (NIVEA Philippines, 60,695 ratings) | A huge seller, but we could not match “Extra Brightening Roll-on” to a notification name (Nivea has “Extra Bright & Firm” and others), and the fields say “Organic”, “Non-Chemical”, “Hypoallergenic”, “Country of Origin: Europe” and “Ingredient: Collagen”. | Not scored (name not matched) |
| Deonat mineral sprays, roll-ons and sticks, ₱139 to ₱192 | Notified, but most roll-on and spray notifications expire in December 2026; a 2021 non-compliance advisory on Deonat spray was lifted in 2022. The Watsons listing is four lines long. | Not scored (notifications expiring) |
| Rexona sachets, 12 for ₱26 to ₱41 | Single-use sachets from resellers; we could not tell the variant or date. | Not scored |
| Old Spice, Gillette and Secret sticks from importers, ₱160 to ₱729 | US or Canadian packs from shops that are not the brand’s store, some shipping from Mainland China; one “rebottled” Gillette gel. | Not scored |
| “Men Sure Motionsense” | FDA Advisory 2022-1611 warns against this unauthorized pack (Sure is Rexona’s name in some countries). | Do not buy |
Our picks

91/100
Best overall: complete listing, unscented tawas
1. DERMAID Deo Roll On Unscented Tawas with Calamansi, 50 ml (Watsons Official Store)
ShopeeTawas (potassium alum)
Full ingredient list
Made in the Philippines
₱2.38 per ml
| FDA status | DERMAID TAWAS UNSCENTED DEODORANT ROLL-ON NN-1000014626455 (Lifestrong Marketing, valid to 23 May 2028); no advisory naming it |
| Active and key ingredients | Potassium alum (tawas), ethyl alcohol, calamansi extract, grape seed oil, tea tree oil |
| Claims | “Up to 24-hour protection”; calamansi extract “helps lighten underarms” |
| Other details | Directions, warnings (external use, eyes, irritation, children, store below 30 °C), made in the Philippines, shelf life 1,095 days |
| Seller | Watsons Official Store (Shopee Mall): joined 2018, 7.18M followers, 100% response; 4.89 stars from 6,726 ratings on this listing, 20K+ sold |
| Price | ₱119 for 50 ml, about ₱2.38 per ml |
The most complete listing we read: every ingredient, the directions, warnings, country of origin and shelf life, from Watsons’ own store, with a product name that matches its FDA notification. It is a tawas deodorant, the traditional Filipino choice.
Tawas is potassium alum, an aluminium salt, so it is not “aluminium-free”; to its credit, this listing does not claim to be. It contains ethyl alcohol and tea tree oil, which can sting freshly shaved skin, and the “lighten underarms” line is a whitening claim we would not buy it for.
Why it scored well
- Full ingredient list, warnings and shelf life
- Unscented; exact FDA notification to 2028
- ₱119 from Watsons’ own store
Watch-outs
- Contains alcohol and tea tree oil
- “Helps lighten underarms” is a whitening claim
- Tawas is still an aluminium salt

88/100
Antiperspirant

₱3.39 per ml
| FDA status | Rexona Men Ice Cool Antiperspirant NN-1000015601231 (Unilever Philippines, valid to 16 Dec 2028); no advisory naming it |
| Active and key ingredients | Aluminum sesquichlorohydrate (the sweat-blocking salt), perfume, glycine, gelatin crosspolymer (fish source), BHT |
| Claims | “Rexona’s best-ever, 72H protection against sweat & odor”; “MotionActivated technology” |
| Inconsistencies | The directions sit under a second “INGREDIENTS:” heading; no country of origin |
| Seller | Unilever Beauty Official Store (Shopee Mall): joined 2017, 2.95M followers, 100% response; 4.90 stars from 15,842 ratings on this listing, 50K+ sold |
| Price | ₱305 for 2 x 45 ml, about ₱3.39 per ml |
The antiperspirant with the most complete listing: the full ingredient list, how much to apply, a safety note (not on irritated or damaged skin) and storage, from the brand owner’s own store with over 15,000 ratings. It suits people who want to reduce sweat as well as odour.
The 72-hour and “MotionActivated” claims are not backed by anything on the page. It is scented (mint), and it contains a fish-derived ingredient, which matters if you avoid animal products. You must buy two.
Why it scored well
- Full ingredient list and safety note
- Exact brand notification, valid to 2028
- Brand owner’s store, 15,842 ratings
Watch-outs
- 72-hour claim not supported on the page
- Scented; fish-derived ingredient
- Sold as a bundle of two

Cheapest per ml: simple, unscented antiperspirant
3. MILCU Unscented Deo Roll On, 50 ml (Watsons Official Store)

11,560 ratings
₱1.68 per ml
| FDA status | Milcu Roll-on Deodorant NN-1000013327142 (Vicherey Corporation, valid to 29 Aug 2027); no advisory found |
| Active and key ingredients | Aluminum chlorohydrate, hydroxyethyl cellulose, ethyl alcohol, water |
| Claims | “Both deodorant and anti perspirant”; “long lasting protection” |
| Missing | No warnings, country of origin, shelf life or hours of protection |
| Seller | Watsons Official Store (Shopee Mall): joined 2018, 7.18M followers; 4.91 stars from 11,560 ratings on this listing, 40K+ sold |
| Price | ₱84 for 50 ml, about ₱1.68 per ml |
The cheapest per millilitre of our picks, a long-standing local brand, and a formula you can read in one line: an aluminium salt, a thickener, alcohol and water, with no fragrance. The claims are modest.
The listing gives no warnings or country of origin, and “long lasting” has no number. It contains alcohol, which can sting after shaving.
Why it scored well
- Four-ingredient, unscented formula
- Exact brand notification, valid to 2027
- ₱84, the lowest price per ml
Watch-outs
- No warnings or origin on the listing
- Contains alcohol
- “Long lasting” with no hours

82/100
No aluminium salt
Full ingredient list
Made in the Philippines
₱3.08 per ml
| FDA status | Human Nature Natural Deodorant NN-1000014653417 (Gandang Kalikasan, valid to 31 May 2027) and NN-1000014856076 (to 15 Aug 2027); no advisory naming it |
| Active and key ingredients | Triethyl citrate, corn starch, sodium caproyl/lauroyl lactylate, sunflower seed oil, glycerin, fragrance; no aluminium salt |
| Claims | “100% natural”, “vegan”, “no aluminum and harsh chemicals” |
| Inconsistencies | The text says it lets you “perspire naturally”, but a listing field says “Anti Perspiration” |
| Seller | Human Nature Official Store (Shopee Mall): joined 2021, 561K followers, 91% response; 4.91 stars from 10,834 ratings on this listing, 30K+ sold |
| Price | ₱154 for 50 ml, about ₱3.08 per ml |
The only pick with no aluminium salt, and its listing says plainly what that means: it fights odour but does not stop you sweating. That honest limitation is worth more than most of the claims in this category. Full ingredients for both scents, made in the Philippines.
A listing field contradicts the text by ticking “Anti Perspiration”. “100% natural” and “no harsh chemicals” are marketing words with no standard behind them. If sweat itself is your problem, an antiperspirant will do more.
Why it scored well
- Says plainly it does not stop sweat
- Full ingredient list for each scent
- No aluminium salt; made in the Philippines
Watch-outs
- “Anti Perspiration” field contradicts the text
- “100% natural” has no standard
- Will not reduce sweating

76/100
Fragrance-free
No alcohol
Antiperspirant
₱7.70 per g
| FDA status | Dove Sensitive Antiperspirant Stick NN-1000013725917 (Unilever Philippines, valid to 22 Oct 2027); no advisory naming it |
| What the listing states | Fragrance-free, hypoallergenic; 1/4 moisturising cream; 48-hour protection; no fragrance, parabens, colorants or alcohol |
| Claims | “Non-irritating”; “Dove’s most skin-caring formula ever” |
| Missing | No ingredient list, warnings or country of origin |
| Seller | Watsons Official Store (Shopee Mall): joined 2018, 7.18M followers; 4.92 stars from 2,521 ratings on this listing, 10K+ sold |
| Price | ₱308 for 40 g, about ₱7.70 per g |
The pick for people whose skin reacts to fragrance or alcohol: the listing says what it leaves out, and the name matches its FDA notification exactly.
It is the most expensive per gram of our picks, and the listing does not give the ingredient list, so you cannot see which aluminium salt it uses or check the “hypoallergenic” claim. “Non-irritating” is a promise no product can make for everyone.
Why it scored well
- No fragrance, alcohol, parabens or colorants stated
- Exact FDA notification, valid to 2027
- Watsons’ own store
Watch-outs
- About ₱7.70 per g, the most expensive
- No ingredient list on the listing
- “Non-irritating” cannot be guaranteed

67/100
Exact notification, thinnest listing
6. Secret Platinum Protection Antiperspirant/Deodorant Cream, Shower Fresh, 45 g (P&G Beauty Official Store)
ShopeeSoft solid
No residue on dark clothes
5,384 ratings
₱6.87 per g
| FDA status | SECRET PLATINUM PROTECTION SHOWER FRESH ANTI-PERSPIRANT/DEODORANT NN-1000005587765 (Procter & Gamble Philippines, valid to 10 Mar 2027); no advisory naming it |
| What the listing states | Talc-scented fragrance; soft solid; quickly absorbed; no residue on darker clothing; mesh dome |
| Claims | “Extra strength protection against wetness and odor” |
| Missing | No ingredient list, warnings, hours of protection or origin |
| Seller | P&G Beauty Official Store (Shopee Mall): joined 2018, 896K followers, 29% chat response; 4.93 stars from 5,384 ratings on this listing, 20K+ sold |
| Price | ₱309 for 45 g, about ₱6.87 per g |
An antiperspirant cream whose name matches its FDA notification exactly, sold by the brand owner’s store with a strong buyer record.
The listing is three sentences long: no ingredient list, no warnings and no hours of protection. “Extra strength” is not explained, and the store answers fewer than a third of its chats. This is very likely a good product; the score reflects the listing.
Why it scored well
- Exact FDA notification
- Brand owner’s store, 5,384 ratings
- Says no residue on dark clothes
Watch-outs
- No ingredient list or warnings
- “Extra strength” not explained
- Store answers 29% of chats
How to choose a deodorant
- Decide what you need: an antiperspirant (aluminium salt) to reduce sweat, or a deodorant for odour only.
- Read the active ingredient. Tawas, alum and “mineral salts” are aluminium salts too.
- Sensitive skin? Look for fragrance-free and alcohol-free, and patch-test first.
- Compare price per ml or g: our picks range from about ₱1.68 per ml to ₱7.70 per g.
- Check the notification in the FDA verification portal. FDA notifies cosmetics; it does not approve them.
- Buy from the brand’s or Watsons’ own store, and walk away from prices far below the official one.
- Apply to clean, dry skin, not right after shaving or on broken skin (general advice; follow the pack).
- See a doctor if sweating soaks clothes or affects daily life, if a rash will not settle, or before using an antiperspirant if you have kidney disease.
How we researched this guide
We searched the Shopee affiliate offer list and Shopee search for deodorants and antiperspirants on October 17, 2026, then searched by brand (Rexona, Dove, Nivea, Secret, Old Spice, Gillette, Milcu, Deonat, Human Nature, Dermaid, Driclor and others) and checked the brands’ and Watsons’ official stores. We identified each shop (Mall status, year joined, followers, ratings, response rate), read the full listings and looked each product up in the FDA Philippines verification portal, including advisories. We scored six with our published rubric: provenance and notification (25), disclosure (20), claims (20), consistency (10), seller record (15) and value (10). We did not use or test any product.
The portal search returns only the first matches for a word, so a product we list as “not matched” may be notified under a name we did not try. The health points come from the US National Cancer Institute and US labelling rules; they are general information, not medical advice. This guide has not yet been reviewed by our health content reviewer, and we have not checked the Shopee affiliate programme’s rules for this category.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best deodorant in the Philippines?
Of the products we could match to an FDA notification, DERMAID Unscented Tawas Roll On (91/100, ₱119) has the most complete listing, Rexona Men Ice Cool (88/100) is the best-documented antiperspirant, and Milcu Unscented (85/100, ₱84) is the cheapest per ml.
What is the difference between deodorant and antiperspirant?
An antiperspirant uses an aluminium salt to reduce sweat; a deodorant only deals with odour. Many products, like Milcu, are both.
Is tawas aluminium-free?
No. Tawas is potassium alum, an aluminium salt. It is a traditional deodorant, but "natural mineral" does not mean aluminium-free.
Do antiperspirants cause breast cancer?
The US National Cancer Institute says no scientific evidence links antiperspirants or deodorants to breast cancer, while noting the research is limited.
Which deodorant is best for sensitive skin?
Look for fragrance-free and alcohol-free. Dove Sensitive says it has no fragrance, alcohol, parabens or colorants. Patch-test first, and avoid freshly shaved or broken skin.
Does Human Nature deodorant stop sweat?
No. Its listing says it fights odour while allowing you to perspire. Choose an antiperspirant if sweat is the problem.
Is the ₱132 Driclor real?
We cannot tell, and we would not buy it. It is about an eighth of the price at Haleon's official store and comes from a shop that answers none of its chats.
Should I use Driclor for heavy sweating?
Driclor is sold for excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis), a medical condition. Ask a doctor first; the listing says to apply at night and wash off in the morning.
Do whitening deodorants work?
We did not score whitening as a benefit. A deodorant's job is odour and sweat; whitening claims say nothing about either.
Is 72-hour protection real?
It is the maker's claim. None of the listings names the test behind it, and heat and activity change how long any product lasts.
Can I use antiperspirant if I have kidney disease?
US antiperspirant labels must say to ask a doctor before use if you have kidney disease. Ask your doctor.
Is deodorant FDA approved?
In the Philippines, FDA notifies cosmetics such as deodorants; it does not approve them. All six of our picks are notified.
