Our verdict
Of the kids’ yogurts we could verify with the FDA, the Dutch Mill UHT Yoghurt Drink (75/100, ₱66 for four 90 mL bricks) is the best proven, and the Pascual Greek Style Plain (69/100, ₱191 for four cups) is the best if you want to control the sugar yourself. None of the four listings prints a nutrition panel, so check the sugar on the pack before you buy.
We cover yogurts for children aged 3 and over. We left out products marketed for babies, freeze-dried yogurt melts, yogurt-maker starter cultures and unbranded “kid yogurt” drinks. This is general information, not medical advice; ask a pediatrician about children under 3, milk allergy or lactose intolerance.
We searched the Shopee affiliate offer list and Shopee search for kids’ yogurt on October 16, 2026. The pool is small: a few brands with Mall stores or large retailers (Dutch Mill, Cimory, Pascual) and many small shops reselling chilled imports. We kept products from the maker’s store or a large retailer with an exact FDA registration and scored four.

What to check on a kids’ yogurt label
These points are general label-reading advice, not claims from a study we reviewed.
- Sugar first. Flavoured yogurts and yogurt drinks contain sugar. Compare the sugar per serving on the pack, and look for a “no added sugar” version, which the FDA register shows for some Cimory drinks.
- Plain plus fruit lets you control the sweetness. A plain yogurt can still be registered as sweetened, so read the label.
- Drink or spoonable? A yogurt drink is thinner and easier for a school bag, but it is a different product from a thick yogurt; compare the size per serving.
- “Probiotics” and “good for digestion” are brand claims; a listing that does not name the cultures or the amount tells you little. A UHT product is heat treated, so ask whether live cultures remain.
- Milk allergy and lactose. Yogurt contains milk. Children with a milk allergy should not have it, and lactose intolerance is a question for a doctor.
- Chilled or shelf-stable? A chilled yogurt needs a cold chain; check the expiry and the condition on arrival. UHT bricks and pouches keep at room temperature until opened.
- Check the registration in the FDA verification portal, and the validity date.
What the claims on these listings actually mean
| Claim | What it covers | Key exclusion |
|---|---|---|
| “Probiotics to support digestive health” | A brand claim | The cultures and amounts are not named; the FDA registration does not approve it |
| “Good for digestion” | A brand claim | No source and no amount given |
| “Healthier Choice” | A Shopee specialty-diet tag | Not a nutrition rating; no sugar figure is shown |
| “BPOM registered” | An Indonesian registration | Not a Philippine registration; check the FDA number |
| “Nu-3-io Plus with Brain and Body Sigla nutrients” (on S&R’s Dutch Mill listing) | A brand nutrient claim | No amounts shown on the listing |
| “Made from fresh milk” or “high-quality milk” | A sourcing claim | No detail is given |
| “Halal certified” | A religious certification | Says nothing about sugar or nutrition |
| “Greek style” | A texture description | Not a protein or sugar claim; check the label |
Kids’ yogurt listings we would be careful with
| Product | What we found | Our check |
|---|---|---|
| Farmers Union Greek style yogurt from small shops, ₱239 to ₱789 | The brand has FDA registrations, but the listings come from shops opened between November 2025 and August 2026 with up to 226 followers and zero to 76 sold, selling a chilled import with no cold-chain information. | Not scored |
| Pascual 4-packs from small shops, ₱259 | The same 4-pack costs ₱191 from S&R; the smaller shops opened between 2021 and 2026 and have far fewer ratings. | Not scored; buy from S&R |
| Yakult from grocery shops, ₱75 to ₱285 | A chilled probiotic drink sold by resellers; we did not find an official Yakult store. | Not scored |
| “Kid Healthy Yogurt” 50 mL bundles of 20 to 60, ₱115 to ₱215 | Brandless or little-known sweet drinks with no registration number shown; we did not check them in the FDA portal. | Not scored |
| Dry “yogurt for babies from 6 months” | An infant product; we do not rank products for babies. | Excluded |
| Freeze-dried yogurt melts and cubes, starter cultures and yogurt makers | A different product from ready-to-eat yogurt. | Outside this guide |
| Imported Chinese “children’s yogurt”, about ₱1,142 | Cross-border listings; we did not check FDA registration. | Not scored |

A plain, spoonable Greek-style yogurt from an established Philippine brand with a registration valid to 2031, sold by a large retailer with nearly 5,000 ratings on the listing.

| Seller | Cimory Philippines (Shopee Mall): joined April 2025, 15.5K followers; 4.93 stars from 4,140 ratings on this listing, 10K+ sold |
| Price | ₱144 for 12 bottles (list ₱156), about ₱10 per 100 mL |
The cheapest per millilitre by far, with the exact flavours registered with the FDA and 4,140 ratings on the listing, from the brand’s Mall store.
The “probiotics” line is not quantified, the listing gives no sugar figure, and the store is only 18 months old on Shopee. Look at the pack for a “no added sugar” variant.

| Specifications stated | 120 g pouch; shelf life 6 months; normal storage; Halal; made in Indonesia |
| Claims | “Convenience for optimal nutritional intake” |
| Inconsistencies | The title says set of 3 while an attribute says 6 per pack; the text names six flavours including Peach, Honey and Aloe vera, while the options are Original, Strawberry, Blueberry, Mango Sticky Rice and Brown Sugar |
| Missing | No nutrition facts or sugar content |
| Seller | Cimory Philippines (Shopee Mall): joined April 2025, 15.5K followers; 4.92 stars from 2,466 ratings on this listing, 10K+ sold |

A spoon-free pouch kids can hold themselves, with the original, strawberry and blueberry squeeze registered by name and 2,466 ratings on the listing.

- Original, strawberry and blueberry registered by name
- 2.5K ratings on the listing
Watch-outs
- Pouch count and flavours disagree within the listing
- No sugar or nutrition information
- Dessert flavours; the store is new
How to choose a yogurt for your child
- Decide drink, pouch or cup, by where it will be eaten: school bag, car or the table.
- Read the sugar on the pack, and pick the lowest-sugar flavour your child will eat.
- Start with plain and add fruit if you want to control the sugar.
- Check the FDA registration and the expiry date, and keep chilled items cold.
- Treat health claims as marketing and ask a doctor about allergies or children under 3.
- Buy from the maker’s store or a large retailer, and compare the price per 100 mL or per serving.
How we researched this guide
We searched the Shopee affiliate offer list and Shopee search for kids’ yogurt on October 16, 2026, identified the shop behind each candidate (Mall status, years on Shopee, followers, ratings), read the listings and looked each brand up in the FDA Philippines verification portal and its advisories. We scored four with our published rubric: FDA status and provenance (25), disclosure (20), claims (20), consistency (10), seller record (15) and value (10). We did not taste any yogurt.
The label-reading advice is general and was not taken from a study we reviewed. This guide is general information, not medical advice. Frequently asked questions
What is the best yogurt for kids in the Philippines?
Of the four we could verify, the Dutch Mill UHT Yoghurt Drink (75/100, ₱66 for four) is the best proven, and the Pascual Greek Style Plain (69/100) is the best if you want to add your own fruit and control the sugar.
How much sugar is in these yogurts?
None of the four listings gives a nutrition panel, so we cannot say. Read the sugar on the pack, and look for a no-added-sugar version.
Is a yogurt drink as good as yogurt?
They are different products. A drink is thinner and easier to carry; compare the serving size and the sugar on the label.
Do these have probiotics?
The Cimory listing says probiotics, and the Pascual listing says good for digestion, but neither names the cultures or the amounts. A UHT drink is heat treated, so ask the brand whether live cultures remain.
From what age can children have yogurt?
Ask a pediatrician for children under 3. We cover children aged 3 and over, and we left out products marketed for babies.
What if my child has a milk allergy?
Yogurt contains milk, so avoid it and ask a doctor.
Is the Pascual plain yogurt unsweetened?
Its FDA registration calls it "plain sweetened", so it is not necessarily unsweetened. Check the label.
Do chilled yogurts survive delivery?
It depends on the seller's packing. Check the expiry and the temperature when it arrives, and do not eat one that has been warm.
What does "BPOM registered" mean?
BPOM is Indonesia's food and drug authority. It is not a Philippine registration, so look for an FDA FR number.
Why not rank the cheapest "kid yogurt" drinks?
They are brandless or little-known, and we could not match them to a registration.
